Argentina 2-1 Ivory Coast
Crespo 24'.....Drogba 80'
Saviola 38'

Group C kicked off in style, with the most gripping match of the World cup so far.
Argentina were firm favourites for the victory and will almost cirtainly go on to the knock out phases.
Ayala was denied by the post before Hernan Crespo tapped in from close range putted the Argentinians in front in the 24th minute, although ivory coast had the better start.
Saviola then flicked the ball passed the goalkeeper to increase the lead after Riquelme played a dream of a through ball just before half time.
Ivory coast then put on pressure and then got a reward when Didier Drogba pounced on some slack defending and made it 2-1.
Argentina then had a goal disallowed for offside.
Decent match to kick off group C and i hope many more matches like this to come in the world cup.

I'd hardly call it last minute though. The 2 last goals were in the 76th and 79th minute.

Portugal 1 0 Angola
Pauleta 5'

Portugal started their campaign for glory in style, with pauleta almost opening the scoring after 12 seconds but then did score after 5 minutes, and it looked like this game was going to be quite a thumping.
On 35 minuted Ronaldo the portugese superkid hit the bar with a powerful header from a Figo corner
Ronaldo then made Ricardo the Angolan goaly make a fina save to deny him just before the interval.
Angolas previuos 2 meetings with Portugal ended 5-1 and 6-0 so after the first 5 mins it didnt look good for the Angolans.
Not the best of games, though the Agolans did their nation proud.

Holland 1-0 Serb & Mont
Robben 18'
Holland had a hard fought match but came out winners in the end thanks to a fine show by the Chelsea attacker Arjen Robben who had a fabulous game; he opened the scoring in the 18th minute following Arsenals Van persie's flick.
Serbia threatned through out the first half forcing some decent saves and troubling the Dutch defence.
Both teams continued to fly in the shots from distance, but both defences stood firm.
Good game for the neutrals, quite exciting to watch.

Mexico 3-1 Iran
Bravo 28',,Golmohammadi 36'
bravo 76'
Zinha 79'

Bravo opened the scoring from a free kick that was flicked on allowing him to tap it in for his first goal, puttin gthe Mexicans ahead.
Sanchez flapped about alowing golmohammadi to pounce of the loose ball equalising for Iran who are rank outsiders for the cup.
2 goals late on in the match by bravo and Zinha won the game for Mexico, Iran have their defender Rezaei to blame as he lost the ball which led to the goal on 76 minutes.
Mexico have now extended their run of 9 group stage matches without defeat.
