I suggest you check out Muse. Great, orignal band. I have a feeling you'll like them.

I like Velvet Acid Christ, but I'm not sure if you would. I'd still recommend giving them a try, though.

P.O.D. doesn't come close to comparing with Rage. And this is coming from someone who doesn't listen to them a whole lot.

In addition to Nirvana and Alice in Chains: The Smashing Pumpkins, A Perfect Circle, Rise Against, Godsmack, Soundgarden, Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne, and Silversun Pickups seem like they'd be up your alley. And if you like SoaD, you should look into Serj's solo work and Scars on Broadway.

Also as far as... lesser-known bands go, I'd also recommend dredg and Oceansize.

Well I had to make a comparison so he'd know who they were since I didn't know if he knew about them or not. P.O.D. & Rage are the only 2 pure metal rap bands I know of, so it was the only comparison I could make.

I was just about to mention them, but I wouldn't consider them metal rap. Hard Rock rap, but that's just me. but yea, I do agree with Fallen, P.O.D. doesn't compare to Rage, nor any other bands like that.
