Iron Man 3 is going into production. The villain is going to be the Mandarin who will be played by Faran Tahir and will probably be released 2013.

Apparently because Iron Man was such a success Marvel intend to exploit the character. There's also talk of the Black Widow from Iron Man 2 getting her own movie.

Black Widow thing wouldn't surprise me.. But I assume it will come after the Avengers movie in 2012, as she will also be featuring in that.

As I've mentioned in the past such practices do arouse my suspisions. I just can't help feel when they do it their just going to chuck anything original out the window in a bid to get it done. Same with having spin offs with characters we haven't even seen yet, why?

Well I kinda understand having plans and ideas or even just being interested in having spin-offs for characters we haven't seen yet, just because they might have a few good ideas floating around for the character and movie already, and that's understandable.
Still to be seen if the character will be well received in the movies it'll featuring in beforehand, though.

Marvel are planning to exploit lots of their characters, lots of the movies they have planned will probably not get off the ground.

Which is annoying, I think it's better making films of characters that have not been made into a film yet. Instead they're milking characters.. I mean, they're rebooting Spider-Man already for 2011/12. >_<

I agree with you, there's a few Marvel characters I'd like to see made into a film. Deathlok being the main one. Doctor Strange will be released next year which should be an interesting one.
