ok i'm in... now i'm not familiar with too many of the choices. I have heard of most of course but how well any of them will do I have no idea.
But anywho, here... on the basis of little to no research.. are my choices
Mr. Game & Watch ( my first handheld gaming device.. was a game and watch )
Metal Mario ( rockin'! he sounds metal AF )
Goose ( cos I was sad when he died in top gun )
Zero Suit Samus ( because.. erm.. reasons )
But anywho, here... on the basis of little to no research.. are my choices

Prep for the brawl ie creating discussion ans voting threads and specific rules will be done in the next few days. My last exam is tomorrow and after that I'm pretty much done for school for the year giving me free time.

Matches will be posted sometime on the Saturday. Times will vary on certain days as on Day 8 I'm having surgery to remove wisdom teeth so I will be at the hospital for hours and hours.

My internet is still cutting out occasionally but now when it comes on it's on for 5-10 minutes not 1-2. Things should go smoothly for Day 1.

count me in, I' m new to this, I take it I have to choose four characters and then hope for the best when they get matched against other characters?

Let me explain how this works.
On this page, Matt will post some challengers, for example, where it says Match 25: K.K Slider vs Apollo, you pick whether you think K.K Slider or Apollo will win. You vote on that same page, and Matt will notify you when a new match has been up.
Matt has also mentioned a grand prize - You must vote in 25% or more matches to be eligable. At the end of the Brawl, a random winner will be selected.

Sanzano - Your 4 picks have been locked in and you are now down as a competitor. However Candy Kong has already been knocked out. Rosalina defeated Goomba in her Round 1 match, Wario is currently battling with Kirby, and Dry Bones' match awaits.
Everything Dan said above is correct minus the random winner selected. In order to win the Nintendo Brawl you must, as Dan said, vote in 25% of matches. However you must also have one of your 4 picks win the brawl for you to also win it. The grand prize is being donated by Rich, and I'm not sure what the policy is since Mark asked to be ineligible for the grand prize. If you're interested in the grand prize let me know. Even if you aren't, you can still compete and can still win the brawl.
There are some rules at the beginning of this thread and the discussion thread if you need to know more. You can also message me.
