Accent? What accent, that?s a good old British accent, same as mine. I think the actress is Dutch so it?s not how she normally speaks. That trailer already looks better than both of those Angelina Jolie movies of the 90?s, they were garbage, this one looks like it could be fun.

I stand corrected, Alicia Vikander is like you pointed out Swedish. For some reason I thought she was Dutch. Anyway the accent she uses in the new Tomb Raider is a posh British one and not Swedish. 'Posh' is the slang British term for somebody that was born with a silver spoon and had a good education (unlike me who is at the other end of the scale). The British royal family all have posh British accents similar to Lara's in the trailer.

Jason Statham the British action actor has the same London accent as me, he comes from Lewisham the town in South East London I was born. Like you rightly pointed out some of these accents actors put on are so obviously fake they come across as laughable. One exception I can immediately think of is Brad Pit in Snatch where he played an Irish traveller, he nailed that accent.
