I already mentioned this in the actual NFL thread so for those of you that already know of this just ignore the repeat. For those who didn't see it, these are some of the posts I made:
I was just wondering, some of us do tipping every week for the NFL on here but it's never official. Like it's hard to keep track of who is ahead and by how much. I'm proposing doing NFL tipping next season on an actual tipping site. There's one site I use for tipping in another sport and it's pretty good (http://www.footytips.com.au/home), but we can do any site really. Don't be fooled by the name.
You'd have to sign up to whatever tipping site we decide to use, and every week you'd just pick which teams you think will win each week. On most tipping websites the first game of the week requires tipping the correct team and a winning margin too. Then anyone who wants to tip would form a competition, and the website will automatically create a leaderboard weekly to track your progress compared to others.
As far as I can tell tipping sites cost nothing. Certainly the one I'm on is 100% free of charge.
In terms of tipping against everyone on the site you're right, it's near impossible to win. I look at the people tipping in AFL who are at the top and with the scores they get, the only realistic way to win anything in tipping site-wide is to make sure to tip about 4 upsets every week and just hope. That's where doing a small competition between friends is much better. In my AFL tipping comp with about 10 other people I'm 1st, but in reality there are tens of thousands of people better than me.
Even if you don't follow NFL you could still do it. If you want, that is. I just thought it'd be something nice to do to keep the group together and bring out the competitive sides of everyone. Plus, my Nintendo Brawl for this year doesn't look likely to happen (sorry, one day I promise) so it would be a competitive competition to keep the yearly tradition going. If this isn't your thing (hint hint Dan) that's all good.

Not sure what Spread is. The tipping I'm talking about is just regular tipping. 15/16 games are regular pick the winner type, but each week 1/16 games requires a margin so that if at the end of the season 2 people are tied, whoever has the lowest margin wins. So pretty much TNF would require a tip & margin, but all other games are no margin. As you can see in my tipping, I'm tied with Jamoi, but I have a lower margin so I'm currently ahead. It's like that.
And lol I googled yahoo sports tipping nfl and it just came up with competitions on the espn site I use...
If everyone's happy to use the site I use, I can go ahead and create a competition and people can create accounts and join at their leisure. It's the URL in the first paragraph. Just make sure you can access the site firstly.
On this site there's also joker rounds I can set, where each tip is worth double points in that week. Personally I'm not a huge fan so I'd head towards not using them, or just setting them for all rounds of playoffs.

No, but I expected change from you. Sacrifice even. Oh Pokemon Master, power through the 10 seconds of brain power needed to come up with a margin. You can do it!!!
Or alternatively keep being a picky word I shall not say and just leave a margin of 0 every week :p

As I've said, it's in the URL. Although I did forget to actually do the proper URL link thing. http://www.footytips.com.au/
Really it would be easiest to use this site since I know it's definitely a good one and I can easily set up a comp for us. But if you really don't like it or there's some other issue, we can always use a different one.

That wouldn't really work would it. Unless you want me to tip for you... ;)
You all need to sign up on the website, and then I'll create a comp. Once you've all created an account, I'll give instructions on how to join the comp.

Info: - If you forget to enter tips for an entire week, you will receive the score that the worst person got. Ie if Warrior misses, and Freez gets a miserable 5/16 for that week, Warrior will also get 5/16, not 0. - Joker rounds are available, but they are only active when I choose them to be. Currently they are not active. - If you get all tips correct in a particular week, you will receive a bonus point. Ie getting all tips correct in a no-bye week gets you 17/16 points for that week.
Let me know if any of you have issues joining.
