No idea on the first one, because I've only seen about three movies... but he didn't destroy Earth because he fell from a Mountain, smashed his head and forgot (AKA he obtained permanently selctive amnesia), and wasn't he the first Super Saiyan altogether?

Oh Jesus Christ... how generalised are we being here? Because he saved the UNIVERSE, but not necessarily Earth... and do we mean with Vegeta/Gohan/Goten/Trunks/Piccolo/Krillin's assistance, or alone?

You're an idiot, Sujith. Think about it - he saved the UNIVERSE from Kid Buu, but not from Earth... the little pink dude blew it to random shards of Matter! Also, the EARTH was in no imminent danger from Frieza - but Goku still saved our collective ****.
