Jam, you don't need to rely on tuts for that sort of thing
Probably just needs floral brushes and some scattered dots of light. Or you can do it with the pen tool.

Brush a few layers with those, and blur them progressively until the foreground is sharp. You can do the background, text and scattered light.
EDIT :: Also, DW, I'm sorry to hear that. It's horrible losing grandparents, from my experience, but losing a brother must be awful. My thoughts are with you and your family.
