No you would feel very hungary and faint, you would not die of starvation after 24 hours.

But you wouldn't die. Humans can go awhile without food, a few days or so (correct me if im wrong) But you can't go without water or any liquids for a whole day, and the fish (hopefuly) has plenty of that! XD

A snake only gets feed once every two weeks or so, and they get on fine.

There is a rule of 3 my teacher taught me, you can go no longer than 3 minutes with no oxygen, 3 days with no water, and 3 weeks without food.
