Lets not.
English is apparently very confusing to people learning it as a second language. It may be because of our myriad of rules that more often than not apply to less than half our words and grammar. The greater portion of our words are exceptions to said rules.
EDIT: Not to mention, most of our words are taken from other languages.
@KoH: It's cuz we Americans can't think for ourselves and out Gov. is full of old farts that need to ejected and replaced with some better people who are young enough to think clearly.

Americans being unable to think in any capacity has nothing to do with the English language being confusing, because the English language was invented by the English and specifically designed to be baffling as hell to those who can't already speak it. Also, insulting the Government does not make you cool, or hip, or whatever effect you're shooting for with that post. Try to stay on topic.

^Yeah, and you're not adding anything to the topic either. How's that for a 'major burn'?
I was filling in a form this morning, and I kept spelling 'appropriate' wrong. Nothing to do with the P's, I just kept typing the letters the wrong way round. Not because I can't spell it, but because my typing is dodgy.
At least for us (portuguese) and the french. English is very, very easy, when compared to any of them. The rules are very simple, we just have to know the rare exceptions. In portuguese or french, just to give an example, we have about 30 verb tenses at least, while you guys only have a few. Plus we also have other personal nouns for each person, making it very confusing. If some of you study french you'll understand what I mean.
On topic, PR I've never seen a person misspelling so many words, haha
