Click on Weapons and Powerups and go to the bottom of that section and theres something called "An Interesting Note" it's there, the link for the site doesn't work as this was made like 3 years ago and PS1 isn't on that site anymore.

True. FireDragons, how did you become a Mod here? Was there an open spot?

I was absent during the time he got it, so I wouldn't know. You where here though, so you should've seen the link (it still appears when you're a mod- it did for me when you applied). But I think forums usually do get 4 spots when they hit 1000.

Oh, cool. Well at first when Spyro Madgirl came up with it I thought it was hacking to the application page if it wasn't there yet... Guess I was wrong then. Still I prefer Modding only one forum until Emerald opens up or something. Anyway....

Spring Clarification

It has come to my attention while researching and scrutinizing the facts and mysteries of CTR on the computer that I have come across a link that gave me an incredible breakthrough. By learning this person's knowledge, I've discovered there's a possibility to something we'd never have assumed ourselves. There may be a hidden weapon, one somehow cut from the modified version of the game for some unapparent reason.

We know that Springs were in the prototype version of CTR, but why were they extracted? Possibly because the data of the weapon could have been used to assist with the game, like Pokemon R/B/Y's Missingno. Possibly it was used to verify the accession of shortcuts like the ones in Hot Air Skyway or Papu Pyramid with extensive ease. It could have very well also been a weapon-dodging power-up as well.
