What do you nickname your Pokemon?

those are cool i tried to look up japanese words for water and fire but in the end i quess i will still call my piplup enperuto, my roru atomsk and i will be Toshiro

and if someone could help me find the japanese word for fire fox and tell em where to find it i would be truly greatful

I guess I can reveal the top six I know I will be giving a name too for sure.

1.Chimchar - Fuego (Flame in Spanish)
2.Chatot - Avesi (Bird)
3.Piplup - Glacchio (Ice Bird)
4.Turtwig - Hajii (Grass) or Sismo(Ground) haven't determine which one yet or I might come up with my combination of both names.
5.Lumineon - Gupper my fish that looks like him is named that.
6. Darkrai - Nyx (The Dark Night)
7. Manaphy - Mana is what I will call him because he kept saying it in the movie and it caught my attention.

Edit - ANBU have you tried using the net word dictionary. Even wikipedia is a good source to find out names for another language.

ok, with the new addition of Abra, I have come up with a name for it, also have new names for Turtwig and Starly

Piplup - Daniel (after my puppy)
Chimchar - Verkolt
Turtwig - Massiv
Starly - Vogel
Shinx - Blitzen
Abra - Seelisch

I nicknamed my Mewtwo "Mewsinark" but now I have a new name for em'

It's cool coming up with nicknames...but its tricky coming up with some really eye catching names...that go with the pokemon.

I have loads of names, written down so I can weed out the stupid ones and go with the one that I think are cool in relation to the pokemon that has the name.

As for me i never nickname my pokemon

I have plenty of good nicknames, but I wont ever post (the current nick names I will use) because I'm sure someone is reading these posts trying to give his pokemon a nickname, and I might bump into em' on wi-fi and we both might have the same nick for one of our pokemon or couple.

well, see I am only posting mine, because most of them are German, and most people cant pronounce German words, and if I didnt post what they mean, they would have no clue what they were naming their Pok�mon
