yeah I used to be like you but I changed and the answer is no. absol of yours probably has taunt if it's not very good cause he knows that when you get him I belive my houndour is the same level as your absol! thats kind of neat.

I know but it doesnt do that much damage because he dont have that much special atk. But it does give hima far range move

That's pretty much what I use my absol for, her(I don't know if it's a he or her, but I like her better,) long rang attack; quick attack.

right after u beat articuno he shud come and stop articuno from finishing u off, and then he'll join u, and if he survives the first dungeon after that he'll finalize his joining
