dialga and palkia debate? which one is the strongest and why

yes and steels wekkek ness is water also i realy dont care for legendarys but these legendarys palkia nad delalga both suck

Steel isn't weak to Water. O.o It's weak to Fire, Fightin', an' Ground. Water is a neutral type against Steel, then Dragon resists it so that makes it NVE.

still though the legendarys suck this genderation and i think it is so heeee

The legends aren't too bad, but there's so many of them it's not really legendary. =\

Anyways, that's off topic. Back to Palkia vs. Dialga. I've already said what is truths.

Palkia is way better and looks cooler then Diagla shiny or Non i mean come on a red PALKIA that rocks!

palkia for the win I almost sweeped the elite for with just my lvl 57 palkia, If not for its loss of pp....

what route is palika on?

Heres where my new mod powers here come in mfpmfp post deleted, no flaming other members, especially super mods.
I think Palkia is better, I don't have my Pearl yet but thats why I'm getting Pearl, I want Palkia, and I know Palkia has a better Sp defence and speed than Dialga.

An' again to all you who say Palkia, look at more than a couple of his stats. Look at what he resists, his usefullness, all that jazz.

I also forget I'm arguin' against a bunch of Pearl owners here... Put this in the Diamond forum an' you get the opposite effect. >.>

Palkia's better anyway; Groudon absolutely destroys Dialga, and this is relevant because in uber matches, Donny's the cliched sweeper on every single team.

Palkia would just woohp diagla me and mi friend have pearl ( he has diamond ) both leel 100 and palkia can DESTROY diagla!!! Roar of time isnt that good either Spacial rend all the way =) ^^

Why?

Palkia has no super effective moves against Dialga as Dialga's part steel; dragon attacks deal normal damage as steel resists it, and water attacks deals ineffective damage as dragon resists it. Dialga at least has dragon attacks at its disposal.

If we pit the two against each other, Dialga has the better chance at winning.

Well people who said that Palkia has the advantage over Dialga are smart.

Reason: Palkia has a really high special attack so does Dialga but Dialga has a special defence that is lower than Palkia.
So when Palkia attacks with a special move (special attack affects special defence)since Dialga has lower special defence it is more likely to faint than the other way round.

But don't take this the wrong way thinking that Dialga is rubbish Dialga has plenty of other advantages over other pokemon and Palkia has it's weakneses with others and vice versa.

Well when it releases in Europe im still planning on getting Daimond.(don't ask i got my reasons)

I did a WiFi battle on PBR against someone who had Giratina and Palkia. I use my Manaphy and Dialga. Manphy KO'd Giratina in one hit. Palkia used spacial rend on Dialga, and Dialga survived the attack with 57 HP left out of 165. I used Roar of Time on Palkia, and KO'd it in one hit. Spacial Rend is neutral on Dialga since it is a steel type, so whoever think spacial rend can KO Dialga in one turn is wrong.

Palkia doesn't have the advantage over Dialga.

I already mentioned why that's dumb.

Well Fwank you are kind of right if you trained Dialga well thing could change in battle with Palkia.

But theres more than that thats why pokemon is so complex which is why i like it,

It has nothing to do with training right/wrong.

It's pokemon the game, it isn't some real animal that you can care and nurture for it to grow stronger because of some deep seated friendship or bond; it's a bunch of numbers, and the numbers tell me Dialga > Palkia head to head.

If you say something's better because they can do more things like sweep and stall, that's valid.

If you say it's better better of its looks, that's valid too.

If you say it's better since it can beat the thing you're comparing with head to head, then that's just stupid.

Palkia may be a lot better than Dialga in uber teams, but Dialga would take down Palkia head to head.
