It's under special melee in the book, it might not have been yoshi, but it was someone on that picture.

No one knows Shadow better than me. Or likes him more either. Go ahead, try me.

Haven't you guys realized that using cheap tactics that only work on computers isn't very much of an accomplishment? Go out and get your asses kicked by real people then come back and wonder how they did it when you did so well against computers.

4th place at Sputnik, beating out Silas Elias, the best Peach in Texas, with Zelda. W00t for mid-tier.

What would be a good way to "train" my friend? Other than borrowing my GCN to him, which I HAVE thought about doing...

Have your friend read all the information in the "newb FAQ" and stuff like that. Then he'll just have to practice. This part, of course, may require a GameCube...

I guess my greatest accomplishment is a 3:23.38 total in BtT. It's really what I've spent the most time with in this game. Another great accomplishment for me is that I taught my 4-year-old brother (now 6 years old) to play SSBM to the point of beating lvl 6s. Now he's even better at the game. I don't know if he can beat a lvl 9, though.

Hm.. Isn't playing a human the best way to train?

Indeed it is. Computer opponents get predictable after a while (although the same could be said about some human oponents), so humans are usually the best way to improve.

True. Predictability is why my friends usually lose to me. And doing stupid things like having yoshi as his second best character and doing egg roll..

Let me guess: You stand at the edge and jump over/sidestep him? The easiest strategy to use on the dumbest opponents.

Nah. I just pick someone who can counter it. *evil grin*
He's actually pretty good with yoshi, which can be a hard character to use.

I always found his lack of a regular triple jump to be a bit of a turn-off. I play as him occasionally, though. Mostly to lob eggs at Bob-ombs and proximity mines and annoy people. 'Tis funny.

A fun thing to do, is when someone is yoshi, you pick him as well. Whenever they try to egg roll into you, use B to swallow them. They're still in an egg, but can't go anywhere.

Good point. Or play as Kirby, use Swallow when they roll into you, and regurgitate them into the nearest Bob-omb. The possibilities are endless.

What if there's not a bob-omb? What if you have items off? What if you're in FlatZone and the sky is falling (or at least some tools)? What if the world blows up?

...ok, anyways. My best accomplishment is probably getting 4556.6 feet with Ganondorf in HRC (I could get more if I had NV)

I never have items on. They detract from duels. Also, please do not lock topics because the people of the forum might actually learn that there are no glitch charactersSmile

I doin't see why a decent human yoshi would egg role, anyway. Too predictable and too punishable.

When he's not egg rolling he's good, that is.
Oh, and I think it's just an example of a fun thing to do, just assuming one might be by you.

I haven't been able to spit anyone into a bob-mb before, as I rarely play as kirby.
