Mod Clearout Stage 2

It's been decided that given the success of the initial clearout and upon further observation, the site is being run just fine. That said, the goal of the mod clearout was always to reduce the number of moderators to an amount that we (the smods and admins) considered acceptable and it's been decided after review that we can afford to reduce this number even further. Some of you will obviously object to this decision because it's going to cost you your moderator positions and we apologise to anyone that this affects negatively however the decision that the super mods and admins made was a collective one and we voted on every forum you'll see listed below and are confident in our selections (note: not all forums have been decided on yet, like the last mod clearout this will be a multi-stage process).

If you are one of the moderators losing your position and you really feel that you are a better candidiate than the ones we have chosen then you may wish to post and explain why, I do however not want this thread to become a flamefest against the candidates that we did chose.

Also, finally, before anyone raises the issue of "we needed more mods because not all mods/smods/admins activity is very high" we've already thought about this issue and have come to a conclusion that we believe will solve the issue of activity. Rich held admin applications with the majority of smods applying however it was decided that some of the candidates weren't experienced enough and that others weren't active enough to truly make the rest of you feel like it was a good choice. That said, Rich has assured us he will be getting in contact with Youkou in upcoming days/weeks depending on how busy his schedule is to try and convince Youkou to return as admin to solve this issue.

It seems that people seem to be missing this and given my past habit of skipping looking at the pinned topics in Mod Squad I'll unpin this temporarily so that nobody is left with a rude shock in a week or two's time.

So I'm confused. I'm in risk of losing those spots?

The ones in the list are the ones who'll be the moderators. So, except for teams and clans, there will be only one mod per forum. :P

I would like to go against this, for one of the many reasons, running a forum by yourself is really hard, especially the main boards. VG boards I can understand, but places like S&P, General Chat, SC times, are places that need two people.

It's going to be hard to get another moderator spot now. xP

Oh birdie, just go with it. You'll do fine alone in that forum. xD

What? No, running a forum by yourself is easy. I kept FF&RP going for about five years with only negligible support from the rest of the population. Just convince everyone you're utterly terrifying and they won't give you any hassle.

Hmmm I think it's a good idea as far as the PS3 hub. It's pretty empty and we really don't need two mods there. I can handle it myself. I kinda think that the more active threads should have at least two mods though. It makes sense to me anyways

We'll be working out the further forums later if needed. But as we saw fit, the forums Test Virus listed can easily be handled by these people because of their expertise. Changes will go into effect once Dave gives Rich an answer on of he wants the position or not.

You guys seriously think this is a joke? Ha, good one. Well, you'll see eventually that we are quite serious. I suggest you start putting up any debates you have now, lest you risk losing your position(s).

I have been a mod on the pokemon trading forums for over a year in the pokemon hub. I have once and a while have not gone on the pokemon trading forum to mod because of some reasons. I would like to keep my mod spot in the pokemon trading cause it is one of the most active forums on the whole site and its also a forum that I have plenty of knowledge about and I know I can handle it. I am also very well know on the trading for by most of the people who visit it. If I get to keep my stop and will work my butt to make sure I stay active on the forum as a member and as a mod, cause its my responsibility as a mod to watch the trading forum and stay active on it making sure that other members follow the rules and have fun. Thanks for the time and hopefully I get to keep the spot in the trading forum.
