How was your day?

Welcome back beardog! Hopefully you find some fun here and maybe find some old friends too.

My day was actually pretty good despite writing two essays and studying for a maths test tomorrow.

Ugh, that moment when there's something you want to do but it's in the worst time possible.

During spells 2 & 3 on Friday we can sign up to test VR shtuff but during spell 2 I have Media, where I'm doing an assessment, and it's a major part and I don't think I can just leave.

My day was pretty good. Work was slow but I stuck around for an hour after I got off to talk to this girl I like. I think she likes me too so that's sweet.

Dan, how are you planning to do the CGi in your filming?

Hope that works out for you King, or you get to have a few laughs at least.

Not sure yet. This isn't the school film btw, my friend and I film stuff all over his "farm".

I don't think it's technically a day if you've been up a bit over an hour lol.

Yeah making friends at work is like the high school I never had. Except the customers are just disgusting. According to one of our vendors an adult customer stuck one of the baby seat straps on a cart up his butt to stratch. I mean what the F###! Then there are tons of morbidity obsese people. And tons of people on food stamps. And lots of people who can't be outside for more than 2 minutes without a cigarette. Are low prices really worth the crowd that it brings?

Also people are quitting in my department but nobody is applying. A skeleton crew for this place is 2. 5 if you want the plants to live. I think we're down to less than a dozen part timers and one full time. Oh and some of the employees have figured out they're immune to being fired because of how short staffed we are so now they break rules and are lazy. Or just don't show up for work.

America - Where Walmart is always short-staffed, and everyone's shoving trolleys up their ***.

They would do that in Australia but when you step outside you get heat stroke.

Today I did a lot of yard work.

Today was good then crap now sorta average but heading in the right direction.

Today was all over the place. So many food stamps. So few employees. A pranker sent us pizza and we had a surprise delivery of dirt and mulch. They were on broken pallets and we had no dock so it was a total pain.

Yesterday + 1 hour of today was crazy. Good, bad, scary, weird, anything goes.

I managed to get Crash: Mind over Mutant for Wii & Uncharted 4 for PS4 for $50. Great deal as Uncharted is generally $85+ and Crash is $45+

A cat I've had for 12 years died this morning. He went peacefully in his sleep so that's reassuring. I buried him I'm a nice spot.

Work was a long day. I swept for 2 hours straight and built two benches. We're more understaffed than I thought. We're supposed to have 15 but we have 9. 9 part timers is like 4.5 full timers. Our busiest times are mother's day, memorial day, and labor day. For memorial day we'll be down to 6 and have no forklift drivers(unless they train me FAST). It's a mess.

Would you rather live in an average trailer or a well insulated, cozy shed?

I bought a frame and the plastic cracked in 20 minutes. I'm going to walk into the door and straight back out to p!ss off the person at the front :P

Hard to believe a company like Walmart runs its stores so badly. I mean I know they are going to pay low rates and have limited benefits but running stores with a bare minimum of under trained staff is a **** up waiting to happen.
