Main site is more important and takes priority. If Rich really wanted to he could try to update forums and do that overhaul thingy in an attempt to make the forums more appealing and stay worthy but that sounds like a lot of work. And not good to do lots of work unless you know you will be reaping rewards. To revive forums we'd need a proven method of obtaining new active members who'd stay for more than a few days which we really don't have yet. Revamps come after we figure that out.
But hey SC forums will never really die, by now you'll have noticed how many old members seem to pop back in from time to time and how many current active members still stay here. It may never get even close to it's past peak but it is still going.

Go visit the Fan Fiction and Role Playing Forum and check out what is there maybe you will see something of interest and feel free to stay and have a cup of -insert beverage of choice here- and some cookies. It's on the house! Well it would be if I had a house...
I can whole-heartedly agree with that, will make activity in here skyrocket.
It's happening though right? Like we really have plan P ready to be initiated?

If memory comes to serve, anime isn't technically just Japanese, but a collection of different styles of animation around the world, but I believe the first glimpse of it was used in Japan around 1917 for a commercial, though I'm pretty sure a lot of it was destroyed during an earthquake from 1923 and not much of it remains or if it remains until this day. Then it really did get its prowess during the 1930's and 40's. In fact, I believe that influenced Walt Disney during the making of Snow White. Then manga pretty much came a huge thing during the 70's and mecha became really popular around that time. Then in the 80's and 90's all the really popular anime and manga start coming out like DBZ, Inuyasha, Pokemon, etc.
A sweet history really. As an otaku, this becomes kind of like a second nature thing to me.
