There is something wrong with those people that spend their lives looking for mistakes in movies. What makes me laugh in this case is that they're moaning about a 1980 Sony Walkman cassette recorder being out of place yet there's a racoon and tree that talk and they quite happily accept that.
You must have watched re-runs of the 1970's TV series Wonder Woman starring Linday Carta? She was always going on about how her mother is Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons and her father is Zeus the Greek god.
I have to admit I had no idea about that. Wonder Woman hasn't had much PR in recent times unless you know what to read I guess. I did see the show as a kid but I was probably too young to pick up on the actual backstory and i always got the impression she wasn't taken too seriously by TV / media generally. This origin movie will probably give a lot of people a lesson on her. It will be interesting to see if she becomes one of the popular rota of heros afterwards or doesn't quite make it.

If the trailer is anything to go by she is going to be extremely popular. Did you know that Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston the internationally famous psychologist and inventor of the systolic blood pressure test. Linda Carter to me will always be Wonder Woman but I must admit this new girl, Gal Gadot is growing on me. All I know about her is she is the former Miss Israel and she served for two years as an enlisted soldier of the Israel Defense Forces.
You and me both, I was in awe when that happened, I was only a kid of about 9 in 1978 when that show was first aired. He changed three times every episode and he'd sometimes say when he was provoked as David Banner 'don't make me angry, you won't like me when I'm angry'.
GAH thats traumatic to see again XD Such memories, though I was also scared of Worzel Gummage and Watership Down gave me nightmares (also the year I was born 1978)
Thanx to Craizen for the sig, love ya babe, Hubby for the avi.
You're not alone on Worzel Gummage, lots of kids found him creepy, so many in fact the BBC would get hundreds of complaints about their kids being terrified by him and that the show should be put on at a later time and not Saturday afternoon. I know he was supposed to be a scarecrow but he reminded me more of a zombie the way he walked.
Supergran was a bit after my time. The big show everyone watched when I was a kid was 'Rainbow', later found out that 'Rainbow' was brought from the French and is was all about LSD (you must remembr the magic roundabout in the show). In the French version of 'Rainbow' Dougal the dog speaks French with a Scottish accent.
I think DC will get it right this time with Wonder Woman and the female comic fan audience will get behind her. Aquaman looks like a train crash which will do the DC franchise no favors.
