You guys are too good at this, I find it hard trying to keep up with what all the teams are doing. I tend to just concentrate on Washington. Every year without fail I list a player twice and don't notice. I will take your comments on board and modify my mock accordingly. Thank you.

Here's the latest update to my Final mock Draft. Again, I now have the Vikings trading up with the Cardinals instead of the Chargers. I read a report that most team sources believe a deal is already in place between Arizona and Minnesota.

1. Bears - QB Caleb Williams
2. Commanders - QB Jaylen Daniels
3. Patriots - QB Drake Maye
4. Vikings - QB JJ McCarthy
5. Chargers - WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
6. Giants - WR Malik Nabers
7. Titans - OL Joe Alt
8. Falcons - DE Dallas Turner
9. Bears - DE Laiatu Latu
10. Jets - TE Brock Bowers
11. Cardinals - WR Rome Odunze
12. Broncos - QB Bo Nix
13. Raiders - QB Michael Penix
14. Saints - OL Olumuyiwa Fashanu
15. Colts - CB Terrion Arnold
16. Seahawks - OL Taliese Fuaga
17. Jaguars - CB Kool-Aid McKinstry
18. Bengals - OL JC Latham
19. Rams - DE Jared Verse
20. Steelers - OL Amarius Mims
21. Dolphins - DT Byron Murphy II
22. Eagles - CB Quinyon Mitchell
23. Cardinals - DE Chop Robinson
24. Cowboys - OL Troy Fautanu
25. Packers - CB Cooper DeJean
26. Buccaneers - OL Jackson Powers-Johnson
27. Cardinals - CB Nate Wiggins
28. Bills - WR Brian Thomas Jr.
29. Lions - DT Jer'Zhan Newton
30. Ravens - WR Xavier Worthy
31. 49ers - OL Tyler Guyton
32. Chiefs - OL Kingsley Suamataia

That's superb Warrior13, Mel Kiper needs to retire and you to replace him. I'd bet the farm you would do a better job than him. I really can't do any better than either you or steelers01 mocks. I just don't know enough about the guys that are likely to be drafted from 25 onwards. To me they are just names. All the players I do recognize I can't argue with any of your choices.

We all know though that there will be a couple of surprises in the first round which come out of nowhere, I just can't see anything strange happening with the twenty odd picks unless a bottom team decides to trade up forcing teams to take their second choices because their ideal player is off the board. The fly in the ointment may be Brandon Aiyuk if he is traded by the 49rs before the draft. Another that may rock the draft is Patrick Surtain II if the Broncos want to trade up with the Cardinals who need help in the secondary desperatly.

There are rumors flying around that Minnesota may trade their two first round picks, and Justin Jefferson to get the Patriots pick at number three. It's the only way they can guarantee getting either Daniels or Maye. You have the Raiders sniffing about so the Cardinals pick number four can get trumped.

I'm actually looking forward to this draft, plenty of people are saying that Washington are a quarterback away from reaching the playoffs.

Something crazy will definitely happens, there's always at least a couple teams that draft guys we never even think about mocking in the first.

JJ and 2 firsts is a lot to move up for the Vikings, and doesn't make a ton of sense because if you have a rookie QB you're going to want a guy like JJ for him to throw to. Kinda setting him up for failure (which is common, so honestly I can see it).

I heard a rumor that Xavier Worthy might go to the Dolphins at #21. Never would expect a WR to Miami that early, but I would not complain about adding another track star. lol

I also read something about a Washington OT not named Troy Fautanu sneaking into the 1st when most have him graded as a Late 2nd. As Mike said, some team will probably do a crazy overreach.

I will post my Final Final Mock on the day of the draft. I will try to post it early enough so the two of you can see and comment. However, unless something big breaks, I really like where my current update is. Steelers continue to be a thorn in my side, but I like Mims more than Barton and the Steelers have hit on many Georgia players in recent memory.

Just let me know when you guys wanna lock yours in and I will set it aside. ;)

You can go ahead and lock me in. I don't think I'll have time for any research before the draft and don't want to switch things up and regret it lol

Sounds good, Mike, I will set it aside.

Here's my Mock Draft, boys. If I don't change it before the draft kicks off, this will be my Final Update.

1. Bears - QB Caleb Williams
2. Commanders - QB Jaylen Daniels
3. Patriots - QB Drake Maye
4. Cardinals - WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
5. Chargers - OT JC Latham
6. Giants - WR Malik Nabers
7. Titans - OT Joe Alt
8. Falcons - DE Laiatu Latu
9. Bears - WR Rome Odunze
10. Jets - TE Brock Bowers
11. Vikings - QB JJ McCarthy
12. Broncos - QB Bo Nix
13. Raiders - QB Michael Penix
14. Saints - OT Olumuyiwa Fashanu
15. Colts - DE Dallas Turner
16. Seahawks - CB Cooper DeJean
17. Jaguars - CB Terrion Arnold
18. Bengals - OT Taliese Fuaga
19. Rams - DE Jared Verse
20. Steelers - OC Graham Barton
21. Dolphins - DT Byron Murphy II
22. Eagles - CB Quinyon Mitchell
23. Vikings - CB Nate Wiggins
24. Cowboys - OT Tyler Guyton
25. Packers - OT Amarius Mims
26. Buccaneers - OL Jackson Powers-Johnson
27. Cardinals - DE Chop Robinson
28. Bills - WR Brian Thomas Jr.
29. Lions - CB Kool-Aid McKinstry
30. Ravens - OT Troy Fautanu
31. 49ers - WR Xavier Worthy
32. Chiefs - OT Kingsley Suamataia

Here was my thought process behind certain picks:

1) I decided to not predict any trades. It sounds like Arizona is asking way too much to trade out, so a trade is much more likely with the Chargers. I just decided to slot as is since we don't have to predict trades with our points system (as discussed earlier), thinking it would give me the best odds to land a point with either the Cardinals or Chargers or even both if a trade with the Vikings happens for the Chargers. Put CB Wiggins to Vikings at #23 since the Chargers met with him and the Vikings' third biggest need is at CB; it wouldn't have made sense to slot a DE to the Vikings at #23 since the Chargers do not have a need after restructuring Bosa and Mack.

2) I put Odunze to the Bears at #9 and Dallas Turner to the Colts at #15 because I think they might trade with each other. And if they don't, well, Odunze to the Bears is a common prediction and the Colts could use an upgrade at DE. Dallas Turner might slide because of new medical concerns; Latu should be the DE1 after clearing his medicals.

3) Someone is going to fall. I decided to go with Troy Fashanu since he has some injury concerns. Slotted him to the Ravens because they have shown a lot of interest and might even trade up for him.

4) Switched back to Barton to the Steelers since everyone is doing so now. Gave Xavier Worthy to the 49ers just in case they trade Aiyuk to the Steelers for Pick #20.

5) Cooper DeJean is suddenly the buzz around the Seahawks Picks, so I put him there. Quinyon Mitchell also makes sense. Sounds like they will wait to go OL until the 2nd. I hope the Lions trade up for DeJean, but I could easily see him falling to the commonly mocked Packers.

Basically just going for the best odds. Hoping to hit 8 Correct Player-To-Team Picks, per usual.

Man, what are the Falcons doing with that pick. Penix at #8??? After you just guaranteed Kirk 2 years and a ton of money, are probably a playoff team, and have your pick of the litter to fill your most pressing need?? Crazy

It may turn out to be the way to get an elite quarterback in the NFL. Get a top college prospect and sit them behind a top pro for a year or two so they can learn the trade. We've seen too much talent wasted in recent years where they have started straight away and been mentally damaged. Lots of these college players are in their early twenties, that is a lot of pressure for someone that young. Mahomes sat behind Alex Smith if I recall correctly.

I'm pleased Washington got Jayden Daniels, I bet Minnesota fans are happy they didn't trade their first two number ones to move up. 46rs went wide receiver so Brandon Aiyuk is on the way out, I hope Washington grab him.

Washington now pick 36 and 40, who are the best players left? Particularly offensive linemen.

I cannot believe the Falcons drafted Penix. It will definitely go down as one of the most bone headed moves in the history of the draft. You just signed Cousins to a four year contract with over a hundred million in guaranteed cash, and Penix is already twenty four and has an extensive injury history.

Good job by Washington going with Daniels. I did not see the Steelers drafting Fautanu over Barton, but they needed an OT so not a bad move either. I did not want Chop to the Dolphins, especially when DeJean and Worthy were still on the board, but it was not a bad move. Dennis team gets an A from me, Mike and mine get a B. At least none of our teams pulled a Falcons. lol

Great job with the competition guys, closest it has even been. Here are the results:
Me - 11 Points (All 11 Player To Team)
Mike - 9 Points (8 Player To Team, 1 Pick Number)
Dennis - 8 Points (All 8 Player To Team)

We all shared the same eight player to team picks. Only differences were Mike got Brian Thomas pick number correct and I got three later picks correct (Guyton to Cowboys, Mitchell to Eagles, Verse to Rams).

This had to be the best year yet by all of us.

Nicely done, everyone. I'm happy with the Steelers pick, you can never go wrong building in the trenches.

I do wonder if Aiyuk will be traded today. A 1st seemed high for him, what with him also wanting a big contract, but a 2nd or even two of them seems like a great deal. Not sure who would be interested other than the Steelers, but the Niners pick last night seems quite telling.

I also wonder if Tee Higgins will be traded now that he has officially requested a trade. Two 2nds would also be good value for him, I think.

I didn't realize Penix is already 24 and has a history of injuries. What is the thinking behind that move then? There must be some reasoning behind it. All I am reading is even Cousins is stunned by the pick, he didn't see it coming like the rest of us. All of a sudden the guy must feel like a bridge quarterback with no future at Atlanta and he hasn't even thrown a ball yet for them.

If the Falcons cut him ahead of 2025, he'll cost at least $40 million against the Falcons' salary cap in dead money. This means Penix is sitting for a year at least. On top of all that the contract also includes a no-trade clause and he'll earn $62.5 million in 2024 alone. The contract is a four-year, $180 million one.

How does Penix fit in during those four years? I am now wondering if the Falcons have no intention of adding Penix to their roster, he is just trade bait for a team like the Raiders or Dallas who have both shown a lot of interest in Penix. The Raiders especially who went TE with Brock Bowers and now need a quarterback more than ever. I personally don't for a second believe Cousins has not been informed as to what is going to happen, that would be plain stupid by the Falcons upsetting the guy they have invested in for the next four years.

The other possibility is that the Falcons are not convinced Cousins has fully recovered from his archilles heel injury and have brought in Penix as insurance just in case he goes down. The Falcons have some decent weapons on offense, they could quietly be good in 2024 like Detroit were last year.

Stupid is as stupid does. Horrible move by the Falcons. Either draft a playmaker elsewhere or do not sign Cousins in the first place.

Some good players still left on the board. Cannot believe DeJean and Kool Aid are still available, two teams gonna get studs. Would be something to see Washington get one at 36 and the other at 40, but I cannot even see them lasting that long.
