Role Play: War of the Shadows

"Looks like the cavalry's here," said Chaos. "And not a moment too soon. You girls ready for this?"
Zephyr stirred up a huge tornado to trap Irmuhante, but it did little to slow him down. Chaos blasted him with fireballs, which had very little effect.
"You cannot escape," roared Irmuhante. "Your souls will be mine!"

"Oh I,and you reckon Irmuhante!"said Jade.
The five girls flew into a circle above him,hitting ruhante with everything they had,with effect.
Imruhante dissapeared in a whisp of darkness and cold wind.
"I'm sorry Jade,we did the best we could.Farewell warriors of the Light.Untill we meet again Jade."said one of the girls.They went just as they had came,leaving a silence broken by the wind and rain.

"That didn't last long," muttered Chaos. He raised Shadow Ball, turning it into a katana, and slashed at Irmuhante. The attack had almost no effect.
"Is there any way to stop this guy?" asked Chaos, dodging a swing of Irmuhante's massive axe. "Zephyr! How did you beat him before?"
"I didn't!" snapped Zephyr. "I didn't beat him! I escaped!"
"Terrific," muttered Chaos. He blasted Irmuhante with a fireball, knocking his helmet off. The face underneath was grossly disfigured, the flesh peeling off in various places.
"Geez," said Chaos. "You're much uglier than I expected."

"Thats what i said Chaos.Err guys if we cant do anything we'll have to split and re-group."Jade looked at Irmuhante slightly scared.

Irmuhante knocked Chaos and Zephyr to the ground and advanced on Jade.
"You will be the first to perish," he roared, a twisted grin on his disfigured face. As he raised his axe, Chaos sank into the ground nearby. Irmuhante's shadow rose from the ground, swinging its shadowy axe to block Irmuhante's.
"What the hell?" asked Zephyr. "Chaos?"
"Get clear!" snapped Irmuhante's shadow, which spoke with Chaos's voice. "Zephyr! Get the others out of here! I'll hold this guy off!"
The shadow punched Irmuhante in the face, sending him staggering backwards.

Jade had fallen to the ground and was staring at Irmuhante's shadow shocked painted across her face.
"Chaos??"

"That's my name," grunted the shadowy Irmuhante as the real one punched him in the face. "I'll be fine, just go!"

Jade got up and ran with Zephyr,turning back for a last glance at Chaos.

As the Union of Light reached a safe point outside of the village, Zephyr looked back. Irmuhante was still fighting against his shadow.
"I hope Chaos is okay," he said. "I don't know if he can manage on his own."
Just then, a bright flash temporarily blinded them, and Irmuhante's voice rang out.
"Soul Absorb!" he roared. Zephyr could sense the dark energy rushing towards the village.
"Chaos!" he shouted. It's my fault! I should have stayed and helped him!"
Zephyr dropped to his knees.

"NOOOOO!!CHAOS!!!"Jade ran,she ran as fast as she could to where Irmuhante stood,tear streaming from her eyes.

Zephyr and the others followed Jade. Irmuhante was stood before them, his shadowy copy lying on the ground. Irmuhante was leaning on his axe to remain upright.
"This guy's... a lot dumber... than he looks," he growled. There was a bright flash, and Chaos had taken the place of Irmuhante. The shadowy clone still lay face down in the mud.
"C'mon, admit it," he panted. Blood was dipping from several cuts on his face and body. "I had you worried."

The tears in Jades face stopped.
She ran and nearly nocked Chaos over when she hugged him.

"Whoa," he said. "Hey, I'm glad to see you too."
He hugged her back.
"How exactly did you manage to beat him?" asked Zephyr.
"Tricked him," said Chaos, still breathing heavily after his fight. "The idiot absorbed his own soul by mistake. I just switched bodies with him before he could get my soul. Took his own instead of mine."

She whiped her eyes and smiled at Chaos.
"I thought you'd really gone then."she muttered staring at him.

Heh.*Auron turns around* Gettin a little emotional. This brings back old memories.

"I have to admit, I wasn't sure if it would work," said Chaos. "Anyone got a bandage?"
Zephyr handed Chaos a roll of bandages.
"Thanks," he said, dressing his wounds. "Okay, I doubt this lump is gonna stay down. We should get out of here before he wakes up."

Jade whistled and a flock of flying horses flew down lead by Carmillion.
Jamarie then apeared by Jade.
"Jade are you ok?"She asked looking anxious.
"I'm fine,c'mon guys."She jumped on Carmillion while Jamarie flaoted next to her looking worried still.

Chaos raised himself up on his tentacles.
"C'mon guys, we should regroup," he said. "Let's get to New Jomolo. It's not far from here, and we can get some rest there."

Where are we goin next?

"The city of New Jomolo," growled Lowthos. "It'll be hard for Irmuhante to find us there."
