The spring could be used for dodging weapons, mabey when you about to get hit, a buzzer noise sounds and you use the spring and you bouce up very high so you dodge it
or
You could bouce up then squash the opponent

Your first idea is more likely, but my opinion is that it was used to access shortcuts or something.

...or it could create shortcuts. Like jumping those turns in Tirbo Track.

I love "Bomb Squad." That's fun to just go in and take out the other opponent with only one weapon.

I will soon finish my little project. It's engulfing a bit of my time, which is preventing me from working on the draft. It's a detailed guide to the entire game. I'll be submitting it to the walkthroughs department shortly.
