change lugia for donphan! are you insane?!?!!?!?!? :o

Donphan is a Ground Type and he has 2 Psychics and no Ground Types, so him changing Lugia for Donphan is perfectly reasonable.

not, really ^
lugias stats overall are about 150 more than donphans, id keep lugia
and lugia can learn a bigger selection of moves

Okay, for your team.
Remove Ho-oh for an electric like Jolteon.
And exchange Feraligatr for Venusaur.
For Feraligatr, remove Cut for Ice Beam and Whirlpool for Earthquake.
Typhlosion- Okay, it'll learn Flamethrower in 9 levels. Forget Quick Attack. And remove Dynamicpunch for Earthquake.
Snorlax-Good
Lugia- Giga Drain for Psychic
Umbreon- Flash for Shadow Ball and Zap Cannon for Toxic

I don't like your Pokemon choice. 4 part psychics and 2 part birds. Pick one flyer, 1 psychic, 1 water, 1 electric, 1 fire, and one of whatever you want.


You can keep Suicune- Take out Tackle and water gun for something else.
Lugia, not Ho-oh. - Aeroblast, Fly, Hydro Pump, and something else.
Fire Pokemon- Entei, Arcanine, or Typhlosion.
Electric- Raikou, Magneton, Jolteon, Raichu, or something else good.
Pick either Mew, Mewtwo, or Celebi. That's all I can do. Good Luck.

ok, ive got seven tips curtesy of meleenewb

First tip: Having two moves that do the same thing on your pokemon is generally a bad idea. Examples: Surf and Hydro Pump. Fire Blast and Flamethrower. Frenzy Plant and Razor Leaf. Hydro Cannon and Water pulse. Return and Body Slam.

Second tip: Dont just make whatever moveset you think is good, look at your pokemon's stats before you decide on a move. If a pokemon has a very high attack and a very low special attack (machamp for example), dont give it special moves like thunderpunch and flamethrower. Blastoise may be weak to electric, but that does not mean that putting earthquake on it is a good idea.

Third tip: In almost every case, items which boost a certain move type (magnet, nevermeltice, charcoal) are worthless.

Fourth tip: On an attacking pokemon, it's usually a good idea to have at least one move that is the same as the pokemon's type. This is because when the pokemon and it's move are the same type then that move gets a STAB (same type attack boost) bonus of 50%. A Dugtrio's Earthquake has the same power as an Aggron's Hyper Beam.

Fifth tip: Despite what some people say, and even if you dont see the effects immidiately, stat boosting moves are actually very good. One Swords Dance can give Heracross the power to OHKO nearly anything with the right attack.

Sixth tip: Remember that status effects dont just stop/hurt your opponent. Paralasis slows even the fastest pokemon to a crawl, and burn lowers a pokemon's attack.

Seventh tip: A pokemon does not need to have offensive moves to be useful. Umbreon with Toxic, Mean Look, Rest, and Confuse ray can destroy a pokemon just as readily as Houndoom or Machamp.

so if you read the tips youll know...

typhlosion: change takedown

dragonite:change hyper beam and twister

espeon:change psybeam and quick attack

lugia: change hydro pump to surf

gengar: mmm, ok, maybe you should change confuse ray with recover, not sure...

houndoom: change faint attack, and toxics probably not the best option either

rating: 4 and a half/10

Let me rate too. Too many weak to Psychic, remove Espeon.

Typhlosion- I presume you used egg moves. Nice, perfect.
Dragonite- No Hyperbeam
Lugia- No Hydro Pump, Surf's better in many ways.
Gengar- Well, Curse is useful if you have Mean Look. Remove it for Shadow Ball to make it better.
Houndoom- Okay.

tyranitar, ah, many people make this mistake, tyranitar is a physical move type pokemon to teach it physical type moves rather than special moves like fire blast and crunch...

alakazam, ok, though not sure if you should have thunder wave

scarmory, whirlwind wont be nessesary, and, i dont think curse would be either...

miltank, change body slam for retreat...

if you wont really good advise on team building, theres a forum in the fire red boards that gives you heaps of good advise, and also the most experienced battlers of pokemon go there so you should post your team there, and theyll rate it and give good advise...
