Team Rating Thread

TTar's only special move should be Crunch. Get rid of Thunder pronto for either Return or iron Tail.

Ho-oh should pull out the ol' Flamethrower, Recover, Aerial Ace, Rock Slide or Earthquake. I think you can teach him RS, but I'm not sure. You'll need to put him on Emerald.

Meta should pull out Earthquake, Meteor Mash, I guess you can keep Psychic, an' go RS or Return. He's gotta be a physical attacker.

Deoxys should have Calm Mind, Psychic, Thunderbolt an' Ice Beam.

Milotic should go with this: Surf, Ice Beam, Mirror Coat, Recover. Others may try to say Calm Mind, but Milo is a good Mirror Coater.

Rayquaza should use one of the 2 following sets: Dragon Dance, Aerial Ace, Earthquake, Rock slide or Dragon Claw, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Crunch.

Tyranitar: Incorrect statement. In-game, Tyranitar's fourth move should be either Thunderbolt or Brick Brick. Unfortunately I don't think he can do Shadow Ball. Remember that Tyranitar has great Special Attack, his Attack is just better. Thunderbolt means you wave goodbye to Water types.

Ho-oh: Sacred Fire/Flamethrower, Earthquake, Aerial Ace and Thunderbolt/Rock Slide/Shadow Ball/Psychic. He has one hell of a movepool. It doesn't end there either.

Metagross: Meteor Mash, Earthquake, Psychic, Rock Slide/Sludge Bomb/Shadow Ball. Word of advice though, never use Psychic on Metagross in Netbattle. Only use it on him in-game.

Deoxys: Agree.

Milotic: Agree, lol, it doesn't learn Calm Mind anyway. You're confusing it with Suicune.

Rayquaza: You should remember to hint that the first set is better.

(i know that articunos moves are rubbish but i only just caught it and i have a charmander in the daycare center i need help on getting a good 6th pokemon and i haven't beaten the league)

i started a new game and decide not to use a cheat device so i'll post my team when they got to their max stats and level. both net battle and ingame

Blast has way too many water moves. Here is a good set for him: Surf, Ice Beam, Earthquake, Return as a filler until someone give you a better one.

Articuno shoud go with this: Ice Beam, Steel Wing, Aerial Ace, Water Pulse.

Zapdos should go with this: Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Drill Peck, Steel Wing.

Moltres should go with this: Flamethrower, Steel Wing, Aerial Ace, Toxic or if you don't have it keep Fire Spin.

When Drag evolves you should try one of the following sets: Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Aerial Ace, Rock Slide or Dragon Claw, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt. I prefer #1, but Dragonite is a godd sp. attacker.

Venusaur should have the following: Razor Leaf, Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, Earthquake/ Return.

Zapdos: See the above set I made for the other kid.

Moltres: Yes, Toxic should be move number four. Moltres is one bad legendary, though the Regis are worse.

thanks can u help me with a sixth pokemon i was thinking golem or something because i have 2 gba's and leafgreen aswell.

A 6th Pokemon? I'd go Tyrannitar. You should try the DD set 'cause I love it, even in-game. It rocks NB up it's butt too. xD Here's the set:

Slight problem there. The fourth move should be either Aerial Ace/Hidden Power Flying or Brick Break. HP Flying in Netbattle of course. Return does not go too well with Dragon Dance, since it's not SE on anything. Screw Rest, just give it Leftovers, then watch it kill everything in sight while restoring lost HP.

You haven't used the rest of your pok�mon very much have you? Anyway, other than for Charizard, the best I can do is provide future movesets:

Charizard: Replace Slash and Steel Wing with Dragon Claw and Earthquake (when you get the TMs. You find Dragon Cla win Victory Road and you get Earthquake from Giovanni when you beat his gym).

Future movesets now then:

Aerodactyl: Does it have the Rock Head trait? If so:
Wing Attack/Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Double-Edge

If not just give it Steel Wing instead of Double-Edge.

Dratini: When Dragonite:
Earthquake
Wing Attack/Aerial Ace
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt

You have to breed for him to Dragon Dance unfortunately.

Kabuto: When Kabutops:

Swords Dance
Rock Slide
Return
Aerial Ace

Pity this guy can't do Earthquake. You might prefer to stick to Aerodactyl, unless you want a Swords Dancer too.

Hitmonlee: Does Comet Punch? WTF! Anyway:

Bulk Up/Swords Dance (although I don't think he can Swords Dance)

Works well. Great Fight pok�mon. Although I prefer Machamp overall, at least Hitmonlee looks cool right?

You'll have trouble getting all those Rock Slides on, but oh well, what else is there? You'll need a Special Attacker for the last pok�mon. I would advise a Starmie or a Raichu. Use my help and suggestions, you'll benefit from them.

BB perhaps, but I found in NB that Rest actually works better than BB. It gives me usually 2-3 extra DD's before I have to attack. That's almost 1-hit KO on every monster because I can almost max my attack an' speed out.

ok ill get a raichu then...i think ill trade the kabuto for a snorlax....you know just for a last chance ordeal....how does that sound?

SGX: Rest is a perfect oppurtunity for a pok�mon with Brick Break to switch in. Brick Break = dead Tyranitar. Besides, many Fight types have high HP and good Defence. Besides, Choice Banders (especially Dugtrio and Medicham) will switch into a DD Tar as soon as he jumps into play. Dugtrio means bye-bye, because it will take Mr. Tar a few Dragon Dances to outspeed Duggy. Bye then Tyranitar will be dead. Maybe you ahd some luck there, but give him Lefties and Brick Break or HP [Flying]. Works better. trust me. You probably had some luck with easy trainers.

Vampire Toast: Sounds like a good idea, since you have Aerodactyl who is better than Kabutops. So yeah, get the big guy. Here are some good moveset options for them:

Raichu:

Thunderbolt
Brick Break/Surf/HP [Ice]/HP [Grass]
Attract
Thunder Wave

Make sure it's a female, because most in-game pok�mon tend to be male. Attract + Paralysis = 1/5 chance of them actually managing to attack you. HP means Hidden Power but for a good one with good base power expect to breed a lot. I have no idea how to get Surf on him, but you can somehow. Brick Break is the best option, since it's easier to get on him and he has great Attack power too (especially for an Electric).

Snorelax:

Body Slam/Return (Paralysis chance or power)

Shadow Ball
Earthquake
Rest

Easy to get on him. Especially if you have 4500 game coins.
