Who do you begin the game with?

i chose chicorita bad mistake so i had to get better pokemon and then i got my bros silver he chopse cyndiquil and i sent him a chickorita and he sent me a cyndiquil and i dont even use them now to go through the elite 4 i use all legandarys like mew mew2 articuno zapdos moltres the three dogs lugia and ho-oh and i hve all the legandaries but 2 mew2 and celebi

what's the point of beating the elite 4 with a team of legendaries? that shows no skill what-so-ever as a trainer. You know that right??
And if chickorita is that hard to use, why not start off with totodile?

cause i didnt want to start my game over

plus its easier to level up pokemon who evolve eg. hoothoot, rattata its easier to level them up quicker

i always pick the fire first then water and then grass. i dunno its just something i do. but when i played diamond i played grass first. lol

Totodile. He can learn moves that can sweep his weaknesses, and other types that can prove troublesome. Ice beam is a huge help, Surf for STAB, and Bite and Slash because they are cool =]

Bah. i think grass is better. it only has 2 weaknesses that are popular among thw game and not alot of trainers have bug and fire pokes. alot have water and if you chose grass you can get suicune or lugia for a good water type pokemon.

But Meganium is still helpless against fire pokemon, because he can't learn any water/ground/rock moves.
Between Cyndaquil and Totodile, I'd pick Totodile, EVEN THOUGH I always chose Cyndaquil and owned the pokemon league with just him.

I usually begin with a Totodile. Or Chickorita because I'm a expert. Grass typ ehave many weakness and I know what my weaknesses are and I know how to get rid of them.

I've used Chicorita ONCE. I was able to beat the game with him, but not as easily as with Cyndaquil or Totodile.

Cydaquil totally owns the game with a good moveset. I always picked Totodile in the past, though...

Well if you have a good water pokemon then you want need to throw out meganium. that way you have a even team. like suicune or if you get a tododille from a friend. everytime a fire pokemon is thrown out u throw out feraligatr.
