How do you rename a sims

I wish I could change names. Two of my sims somehow had twins and they both ended up with the same name.

I clicked on the cradle when the create a person Icon was there and named the girl brandy, but it gliched and created 2 babies both girls named brandy

I had a last name on a person and if changed overnight to ;54679. He didn't move in with anyone. His whole fanily has that last name and I need to change it. How?

When two of my sims got married it changed the boys last name

I wanted a baby. I waited 1 day. I clicked on the crib. I created my baby, but after a accept the baby, the crib was empty, i crated the baby again whit the same name and everything. The baby appeared, but the I save an exact same baby in the living room's floor whit the same name. So I think they are twins, but I didn't know that it is possible, so they name is the same. What can I do? No possibility to rename one of them?

We'll I had a baby and some how it gave me two and I accidentally named it the same because I thought it just didn't take. So now I have two babies with the same name. Lol guess there twins. But maybe it was a glitch cause I didn't have to wait for the other baby lol. And it didn't have a crib so it was located on the floor in the house when I found it. What a surprise. There needs to be an update!

This may not be helpful but once I was touching my iPad screen and not looking but when I looked back at the screen it was on my preteens profile and had changed her name. It gave me the option to edit her details but I don't know how to do it again

Well you can't rename a sim but you can abandon your sim you just need to click on the dresser/drawer then on the top left hand side you will see a button click the button and it will say abandon sim? Click yes then the sim who you would like to Chang the name of will leave forever then click on their house ( has to be his house can't live with someone else) then click make a new sim and make the exact same sim just whatever name you choose!!!
