How do you rename a sims

Yh my sis accidentally names him potty po*p and i really want him to be called something else coz he engaged tovmy girl sim, but, sadly, there no way to change.

Thats how you change names, first or last.

I have recently tried to add sims and I have typed in the name that I want to name them then it says do you want to add "......" To the town so I clicked yes and then when they are in the town they're names are the example that you get given! Anyone know how to fix it?

I typed the names I wanted but after I named them they changed to random names as if I randomised it.

Need to change mine so bad!!! I had my own personalised name, but whenever I finished customizing my sim, the name had changed to RICHARD STRICKLAND!! Who is that anyway?!?!?!?

My sims name was Supposed to be Justin Dems but it changed to Ken Kwa! OMG

can anybody help me I made 2 people marry like 10-15 times but it won't let them get married I did the avatars as my mom and dad and I used my mom's maiden name and all that they need they just won't say yes!!! please help meeeeeeee!!!

I find that when I get a new Sim, I'll make the name anything I want, deleting the generic name that's already in place. But the next time I bring up the app, the game has reverted the name back to whatever stupid thing they had in there in the first place. This didn't happen with the first maybe 2 or 3 sims I made when starting the game, but every since then, even the babies I add don't keep the name I chose. Pretty crappy if you ask me, I hope they fix this soon, or at the very least give us an option to change the names back, since they're all names I didn't want or chose from the beginning.

If you want to change the name just move the SIM out of town then build a house and add a new SIM exactly like that other sim and wah-la easy as pie

Has anyone had problems where they have named their sim and when playing, it has been changed to something completely different? This has happened to me with multiple. A toddler named Sarah shows up as Lou, an adult female named Jamie, shows up as Erin and an adult male named Cody shows up as Thomas... Last names were still the ones I'd chosen, but first names were changed and still haven't reverted (after about a month). I've given up on the custom names for now and just letting the game choose random first names -__- help.

This is ridiculous. Why is it not possible to change names? The reason I would like to change mine is because it didn't save the name I had set for him. Why is this happening? Can EA do something right for once!? >c

I changed my preteens name but I don't know how I did her name was Lydia and then when I changing her cloths my sister taped a random button or something and then she J and my preteens name become J instead of Lydia

So I made Justin bieber and Selena Gomez but I accidentally moved them both into leonardo dicaprios house and now there called 'justin &selena dicaprio' :( HELP lol

You cant. Once you named a Sim, you cant change it.

I somehow added two babies together and thought it was only one so they have the same first name. I would really like to change one but don't know how.
