Nothing inherently, it's just that Castlevania is a huge franchise that up until a few years ago put out nothing but enjoyable games (for the most part). Last generation, and it's looking like this generation, the series has died down a bit. The more amazing Castlevania titles are mostly on systems from the 80's and 90's, so if you didn't get to play them then, or you're not a retro gamer, it makes sense you wouldn't know.

Still, "Castlevania" is a pretty recognizable name, even for those who have never played the series. That's probably why you got that reaction.

A few games. Or every basic game that every gamer has played. Or at least heard of.

Your knowledge of video games seems to be Minecraft, Fallout, Call of Duty, and The Sims.

^The 4 mentioned are very big game series but to lack knowledge of some of the most well known games while being a member of a gaming forum is taboo. We don't require you to have perfect knowledge of them just to recognize the names.

And to make sure I stay on topic: TES: Morrowind and more recently I have gone back to Spore.

The name was familiar but beyond that I've never seen it or heard about it's details. I have nearly 90 Xbox 360 games, 20 something GameCube games, 10-15 N64 games, and like 6 NES games. I am knowledgeable on Halo(All), COD(4-whatever they are up to now), GTA(4&5), Saints Row(2-4), Minecraft, Fallout (3&NV), Skyrim, Arkham City, Portal (1&2), Left 4 Dead (1&2), Just Cause 2, Lego Star Wars(360&GC), Skate 3, and several more. That's just 360. I'm a gamer, I'm just a newer gamer.

KoC said:The page wouldn't load for some reason. Before 2010 I only played NES. Well once I played Halo and Halo 2.

So you bought over 100 games in the last 4 years?

@OP - I'm going to play some Skyrim.

I've been playing Civ 5 and Crusader Kings. I think I'm gonna start up either Bioshock Infinite, Binary Domain, or Enslaved: Odyssey to the West just to play something with a story.

Hmm I need to edit that I forgot that I got a GBA SP in 2003 but yes all the Xbox 360, GameCube, N64 games were bought after 2009-2010.

Edit: NES-? GBA SP-2003 DSL-2006 N64-2008 or 2009 GC-2010 PS2-2010 Xbox 360-8/15/11
I really need to get these years straightened out.

You have all the money to buy that many games, but won't even buy a laptop (and internet, if needed) so you can stop complaining about using your phone for posting here?

I definitely liked Journey, though it's far from my favourite game. It was very original and fresh, and that's the major reason I liked it.

I don't have a ton of experience with any Sony console after the PS1, so my view is a bit skewed

Well if there was an option for internet I'd pay for it but there isn't. And I have a laptop it's just old and breaking.

Laptops that can play most games at decent settings are very cheap nowadays. Nearly everything you can pick up at a Best Buy or Walmart has an intel graphics chip if not a dedicated video card, which can run most everything on medium-ish settings.

Not entirely true. After my last rig died I bought a ~$350 desktop from Walmart, and the integrated graphics in it have trouble running games from 2005 at good settings, let alone modern games at medium. The laptops in the same price range didn't fare much better, or were worse. Perhaps it's just my Walmart's stock, though.

Bioshock Infinite you won't regret it. Awesome game though at time I feel like it is a little short. SO my advice to you if you choose to play it is not to rush through it. Take it slow.

Still with Spore, going to war with the Grox. It is going to be intense.

I'm not investing in a new laptop until I have stable internet. You know for Netflix, Xbox Live, Steam, and most important SuperCheats.
