I'll be behind the Redskins again this year like I have been since 1982. I don't think I'll be seeing the glory years of the Joe Gibbs era for a few seasons yet. Need a decent running back and I'm not convinced Cousins is the real deal. I see Griffin III is doing well in Cleveland, if he becomes an all pro there the Redskins are gooing to look foolish trading him.

The Redskins have a shot this year, especially if Romo has his usual tendency of nagging injuries.

Dolphins are screwed, but that's nothing new. Been that way ever since Marino retired.

I can't see the Redskins doing anything this year to be honest, I don't think Cousins is good enough to take them all the way and they don't have a running back, they got rid of Alfred Morris who was half decent. The Redskins need another John Riggins but unfortunately Pro Football Hall of Fame running backs only come to Washington every thirty years or so.

Have the odds for the Super Bowl been released yet now there is only a couple of more pre-season games before the season starts?

Warrior - There's a lot of talk about Tannehill and how he's the reason Miami have been doing bad in recent seasons. Are they right? If they aren't what do they need to do to start winning again?

This is Tannehill's last shot, at least I think it is. Sure he's be sacked a lot, but he hasn't done anything to avoid the pressure. And he used to be a wide receiver!

I don't know much about Tannehill, what I do know is he is no Dan Marino. Marino was the best pure passer of a football I have ever seen. it's a shame he never won a Super Bowl.

Crummy ownership and executives never built around him. He had to practically throw 5k yards a year just for the Phins to be decent.

Btw do Pre-Season game results mean anything? (if a team goes 1-3 or 0-4 in them does it actually mean they'll do bad in the real season) I presume not, but I'd like to be sure.

It doesn't mean a thing if a team goes 0-4 in the pre-season. The pre-season is there for the teams to try out their rookies and test their formations before Week 1 of the season starts, that's when it matters. The 1985 Chicago Bears lost 3 of their 4 pre-season games and then went on to have a 15-1 season terrorising the NFL in the process. The greatest team I have ever seen ever. It didn't hurt them having Walter Payton in the team, he was incredible.

Yeah, that team has to be in the Top 2 all time, right there with the 72 Dolphins. Personally I think they were better.

They would've been the greatest of all time if they had beaten those depleted Dolphins of that year. It was almost as bad as the Patriots going 18-0 to lose to the Wild Card Giants of that year in the Super Bowl. But I guess you can truly never win all the time, unless, again, you were the 72 Dolphins. XD

The 72 Dolphins wouldn't be able to live with the 85 Bears, Csonka, Kiick, and Mercury Morris would have been stuffed at the line of scrimage by the Bears 46 defense, no doubt about that one. Bob Griese would have been sacked numerous times and would be in too much of a panic from the pressure the Bears would be putting on him to get the ball to Warfield who was the one Dolphin player who could have won the game for them if he got his hands on the ball. The Dolphins defense would fare better against the Bears offence but eventually Walter Peyton would wear them out in a low scoring game. The 85 Bears weakness was their secondary, they didn't have very good cover guys. For a team to beat them they needed a quarterback with a quick release and talented recievers who were also quick. That's why Dan Marino managed to destroy them on that Monday night game and the Bears 45 defense couldn't get to him quickly enough.

That's right, it could go either way, the Dolphin's 1970 no name defense were no slouches either, they played great as a unit. I've only ever seen DVDs of that Dolphin team which to be truthful is really only highlights while I remember watching whole games of the 85 Bears and their march to the Super Bowl and like everyone else at the time being in awe. You knew they were a special team when they reached the playoffs at 15-1 and did not concede a single point until they destroyed the Patriots in the Super Bowl itself. It's a shame the team was torn apart the following season with key players leaving otherwise that team would have been a dynasty.

Preseason results mean absolutely nothing, it's just a warmup for the start of the season so I wouldn't take any notice of them. On September the 8th, that's when things matter. Could someone please explain to me how the odds work in the US, I've never seen this system before.
