Yep. Some preseason games had better ratings than the MLB Field of Dreams game, and that was the most watched regular season MLB game in 15 years. Football is just on another level here.

Also has to do, particularly when in comes to stadium fans, with being locked up and restricted for over a year, and for nothing other than what has progressively become a seasonal virus that will spike with every new variance like the flu.

I am glad for stadium fans. The NFL did well with games last year by keeping zoomed in on action, but it still was not the same. Decibels can decide games.

Noise was definitely a factor for the Seahawks when they played at the Kingdome in Seattle during the 80s and 90s. The opposing team couldn't hear anything, it was a real problem for them. The craziest games were against the Raiders. Are the fans around the NFL still as mad as that bygone area, the 'dogpound' in Cleveland where they threw dog biscuits at players and 'Raider Nation' where everyone wore black come to mind.

Tim Tebow already cut. That's a shame. I thought the Jags used him so wrong in that game over the weekend. I would use him similar to Tysom Hill on the Saints, but a bulkier version. Tebow's body frame, especially if he could lose about 10-20, screams H-back.

I have conflicting feelings. Tebow brings a whole media circus with him that really just isn't worth the trouble to be a 3rd TE or FB or whatever when there are probably 4 other guys on the roster just as good with the benefit of youth.

It's a shame cause I think he really just wants to play any sport professionally but the attention he gets - both positive and negative - isn't worth the media frenzy and I'm sure it bothers his teammates too. If Urban Meyer wants him around put him on the staff.

In other news the Steelers traded for Jags ILB Joe Schobert, formerly of the Browns, for a 6th round draft pick. He's not going to be all-pro but it's sorely needed depth for Pittsburgh and he's a solid piece.

Tebow had to be cut, his blocking was pathetic, unfortunately for him being a high profile athlete any mistake he made was going to make the news. The guy is juiced up,those big veins in his arms are a dead giveaway. He would have got found out sooner or later.

Dennis: He should've never been playing TE. I thought it was just a front that Urban was using before having be a true H-back during the season. He could be a good weapon for like 5-10 plays a game like Tysom Hill, you just have to use him properly.

Mike: At the bare minimum, they should've kept him for jersey and ticket sales. Putting him in on five plays, even if he does nothing, would be well worth it. The fans were going nuts the fifteen plays he played last week, and he had one target. The 53rd man does nothing anyways, so why not make big bucks by keeping him?

Why is there such a big fuss about the guy, what is so special about him?

Great college player, hard worker, and passionate, but open religiousness made him polarizing.

49rs have cut Josh Rosen, Washington are thinking about picking him up. Looks like Kyle Allen's days are numbered. Not sure Rosen is the answer, he's been to almost as many clubs as Fitzpatrick. I have to admit I did see some potential with Rosen when he started his career with Arizona, not sure what he has got left now, his confidence must be shattered the way he has gone through the NFL.

Dennis - Mostly the very open religiousness, the praying on the field "Tebowing" thing made him both very popular and very not-popular. Many (most?) players are religious but Tebow made it his "thing". Plus some reports that a lot of it is played up for the cameras. And the whole switching to baseball thing, then taking a media job, and now he's 30 and wants back in football. I generally root for him but at a point you gotta know when to hang it up.

I think Rosen is done, sadly. Such a shame because I thought he'd do well.

I agree with you steelersrock01, makes you wonder what would have happened if Rosen started his career with the 49rs. If Trey Lance does well a lot more people will start wondering what could of been with Rosen as well as he came out of college a lot more rated than Lance. Rosen was one of the four 'generational' quarterbacks along with Allen, Darnold, and Mayfield.

Yeah, I thought Rosen was the most polished coming out of that draft, the most "NFL ready" as much as that's a thing for rookie QBs. He got drafted into a bad situation because Kliff Kingsbury came to the Cardinals to coach and was very clear that he wanted his guy in Kyler Murray.

Oh my gawd, yes. The Redskins need to sign him. If Rivera can turn him, that would be huge with the team they have.

I have also heard Cowboys and Rams, which both also make sense. Stafford is a two year experience, and we have no clue what is going on with Dak. Rosen could thrive in either system if developed properly.

Rosen would literally find himself playing behind Fitzpatrick again like he did in Miami. It could happen, I'm hearing whispers that Kyle Allen could get cut. I think I'd rather have Rosen than Allen. I have been watching game film of Rosen from when he played at Arizona and the guy could definately be a very good quarteback if he was given the right opportunity. Unfortunately looking at his stats he has got progressively worse.

I'm hearing a lot of talk now saying Ron Rivera made a mistake getting rid of Haskins who led the Steelers to a come from behind victory last week and looked good doing it.

Rosen has all the talent in the world with his arm, but I think constantly having to learn a new system each year has hurt him. He has shown flashes, he just needs one consistent environment. If signed by the Redskins, it would be the best OL that he would've ever had.

There's a good chance Redwolves will be the new name of the Redskins. Apparently there are three nanes left in contention, one being the Washington Football Team. To be honest I quite like that now. Can you imagine the Washington fans howling like rabid wolves on crucial plays if Redwolves is chosen, it would sound insane.

I don't mind Washington Football Team, but I would prefer they have a name. I'm hearing it will be the Red Wolves, but the president has come out and said that the List of 8 that appeared in that video was just eight of many, many more. But they are down to three, so I guess we will hear soon enough.

I didn't realise the Patriots stuffed the Eagles 35-0 and got almost 500 yards offense. I know it's only a pre-season game which doesn't mean anything but it's not a good sign getting beat like that. Patriot offensive line look solid, they gave the quarterbacks the time to stand in the pocket and pick the Eagles apart. I see now why Philadelphia are prepared to go all in on Deshaun Watson. They need serious help.
