hmm i think it was called the rising sun or something like that, it was a weapon for yuffie, a throwing star i believe, been a while could be wrong

I'm sure that question has been asked.
Either breed a Black chocobo and a Wonderful chocobo together with a Zeio Nut (at S Class) or defeat the Ruby Weaopn and give the Desert Rose (which you obtain for defeating it) to the Kalm Traveller, which he will ask you if you want to trade it for a Gold chocobo. Obviously, you should agree to the trade.
