I guess because the Harry Potter series is more well-known that Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II. My avi is Omduil, a cryptic wizard from that game. Since I used the name Cryptic Wizard (I have for many years), his picture seemed to be very fitting. Prior to him, I used Leon Kennedy, Pinky & The Brain, and even an escaped mental patient from Vampire Wars before I found him.

Nobody really knows what God looks like, if He even exists. Chances are He could look like whatever He wanted.

Why is the minute hand on a clock longer than the hour hand when an hour is longer than a minute?

Because the minutes marks are harder to see than the hour marks, you need a longer hand to show the exact minute. Since the minute hand needs to be more accurate, it needs to be able to show the exact time.

Because it has feathers. Feathers are what classifies an animal as a bird. Ostriches can't fly either, but they are birds.

I guess it's because there are so many more cars than buses. And the government won't be able to take out money if they do that.

If you cut yourself slightly, it hits a few nerves that send the pain message to your brain. If you cut yourself deeper, it hits more nerves that send more pain messages. Generally, the more severe the injury, the more nerves it hits and therefore, the pain increases.

The so-called "moral majortity." Someone decided that because of what these words mean, they were "impolite."

How come it's taking so long to find a cure for cancer?

Because there are different thing that cause cancer, and modern medicine has not yet isolated one cause that they can develop a cure for. Although there are treatments that can help cancer and even send it into remission, so we are coming ever closer to finding a cure.

Why do cats meow at humans or other animals, but not at each other?

Kittens meow to their mothers to request something. When they grow up and become adults they do not meow to each other anymore. Scientists believe that the reason adult cats meow is an extension of their baby behavior and that the cat is trying to communicate a need to it's owner.
Adult cats use many other methods to communicate. They use hissing, purring and growling with their vocal cords. However, a lot of their communication is with body language; for example, they arch their backs to signify fear or aggression. The positioning of their tail usually expresses their level of happiness: the higher up it's held, the happier the cat is. Finally, cats also use scent to communicate! They pee on their territory and they rub off against people and objects to imprint their scent onto them to communicate to other cats that those things are theirs.

I think nature has a way of keeping its natural resources from being depleted. Humans have not found a way to outsmart nature. If you think we have, then tell me why we haven't yet developed a way to control the weather?

Cats are curious creatures, and even if the object is familiar, they like to investigate it to make sure nothing has changed.
