I would like to imagine the 49ers were wise enough to trade up for Fields or Lance, but they have made a number of bad decisions during the Shanahan/Lynch Era. It would not surprise me either way.

I'm going Jones, and at this point I don't really care.

My friend (an Eagles fan) has dreamed up a scenario where they trade their 3 first rounders next year + other picks for rodgers and take a receiver with #12 this year to make Rodgers happy.

I cannot see them trading him within the NFC unless it is a huge offer. 49ers called about him. I would have to think it was #3 for Rodgers, and he is still on the Packers at this moment. I believe that is very telling.

I hate to say it, but Miami makes the most sense. That said, I would not give up more than #18 and 2022 San Fran 1st. He is older and has a bug cap hit. Miami could draft elite player at #6, or trade back for more picks. Not to forget, could trade Tua for a couple of 1sts or keep him to learn behind Rodgers for the next three years.

Only one guy so far that I will be keeping an eye on toward the 2022 Draft: Kayvon Thibodeaux, Edge Rusher, Oregon.

Remember the name. I currently have him as the best available next year.

Rogers to Miami, you're dreaming. If he doesn't retire he'll end up in Denver. He wants to be near to his home which is the California. Denver is a lot closer to California than Florida.

Don't be surprised if Miami goes after him. Not Cali, but one could argue Florida is the second best destination in the US.

I would rate the likely places as the following:
1) Denver
2) Las Vegas
3) Miami

If you throw in the NFC Teams as a possibility:
1) Denver
2) Las Vegas
3) Miami
4) Philadelphia
5) New Orleans
6) Washington

Rodgers can want what he wants, but his contract does not contain a no trade clause. The Packers should trade him for the most they can get. Obviously, Broncos have the most to give, including multiple 1sts, Chubb, and Juedy.

Broncos seem like the obvious landing spot.

Fun fact - assuming Mac Jones starts for the Pats, the oldest starting QB in the AFC North next season will be 24. Insane.

That could be the best division for the next decade if all the QBs work out.

Yeah. Allen is the only one who's proven it so far, but huge potential. Also huge potential for the AFCN if the Steelers can figure out their QB situation. No real slouches in the AFC West either if Denver can figure it out.

AFC in general seems on the upswing. The NFC as a whole is kind of weak. East is still a mess, North is stagnant and will be worse if Rodgers moves, the South is on a downswing with Brees retiring and Watson's situation, only the Bucs are bolstered by Brady. The West is meh, the Seahawks haven't been able to get it done, the 49ers aren't ready to compete, the Cardinals are getting there but aren't quite there, and the Rams are in win-now mode after trading for Stafford but don't have the depth to compete with the Bucs or the top of the AFC.

Denver giving up multiple 1sts, Chubb, and Juedy is a bad deal for Denver. Rogers is old and his best years are behind him. The most worrying thing about him though is he is a selfish guy who causes problems when he doesn't get his own way. Denver are better off doing what Washington are doing, build the team up and then insert a top rookie quarterback when the time is right.

Only a team in win-now mode should trade for Rodgers. Otherwise it's pointless. He doesn't have many years left, and even though he came off an MVP season, he will eventually regress as he gets older. If a team like Denver traded for him, they would have to give up a lot, for an outside chance of winning the SB. The Denver team on paper (excluding QB) is probably in the 10-20 range of a power rankings. Having Rodgers would only make it 5-15. And if they don't win a SB, they'll have to start all over again.

There is the concept that a team shouldn't trade to a conference rival, but in that case the team giving the player could just ask for a larger compensation. Like the Baltimore-KC trade. A 1st rounder was a lot to give up for KC, but they were getting a player from a conference rival.

Green Bay should consider New Orleans. They are in win-now mode, and have backups as starting QBs.

Baltimore and KC are not in the same division. Same conference, but not division.

Dennis: I'm hearing three 1sts and either Juedy or Chubb. At the moment, it sounds like Juedy is more likely since the Packers need a WR2. If it was me, I would just want five 1sts for Rodgers rather than three 1sts and Juedy. I really think Rodgers could play five more years, and I would like a 1st for each year I think he has left (especially if he would be on a Super Bowl caliber team).

Matt: I disagree slightly. Denver is absolutely loaded on offense, and if they're healthy on Defense this year, they would easily be a Super Bowl contender with Rodgers. They have a pretty darn good O-Line. They Gordon and just drafted Williams, meaning everything is not on Rodgers. They have Juedy, Sutton, Hamler, Hamilton, Fant, and Okwuegbunam. I would easily say Denver would be second best to the Chiefs, with the Bills, Browns, Ravens, and Steelers following that.

Some people are saying Giants as a Rodgers destination, with Jeopardy moving to New York from Cali. That would be interesting. They have two 1sts, two 3rds, and two 4ths in 2022, which is a deep class everywhere outside of QBs (which the Packers do not need). Would all those picks, perhaps plus their solo 2nd next year, be enough? It would give the Pack three 1sts, two 2nds, three 3rds, and three 4ths. I think that could be viable.

I also saw a three team trade between the Packers, Phins and Steelers: Packers get picks, Phins get Rodgers, and Steelers get Tua. I am not sure I would like that unless the Phins receive at least two 1sts for Tua (since will always be late. Maybe the following...?

Packers Get: 2022 1st (SF), 2023 1st (Pit), Gisecki
Dolphins Get: Rodgers, 2022 1st (Pit)
Steelers Get: Tua

I do not see the Steelers getting in on that either. Not sure why that is floating. Miami has enough assets to do the trade for Rodgers alone.
