Dan - Weird. It shouldn't matter. I thought NZ had the same quarantining rules as Aus, whereby anyone coming into the country must self-isolate in a hotel for 2 weeks. If you have symptoms you must self isolate. If you have 0 symptoms and test negative, you still must self isolate.
Dennis - That sounds like a nice thought, but there is a 0% chance of that happening anytime soon. China have blamed just about everyone they could think of, saying OTHER COUNTRIES are to blame for the INITIAL OUTBREAK (even though it was confirmed that the outbreak was in Wuhan). They are bonkers.
A few weeks ago Australia's PM announced that the government would look into China's handling of the coronavirus. As a result, China put massive tariffs on all products that we import from China, which as a result hurts our already-struggling farmers. And recently, the Chinese government has told international students which study at Australian universities not to return, as they claim there have been many serious racist incidents in Aus in the last 6 months (a massive exaggeration). If China get accused of anything, they punish the accusers. A Dictatorship at its finest.

Some states are still in a low-level lockdown, but others like mine are reopened (supposedly*).
*Today I was studying with a friend at the uni library, and there was this guy going around telling everyone to sit 1.5 metres apart. He came around at least 4 times. But our state only has 2 active cases...
I've had a look at the US, and their daily cases aren't decreasing anymore. For about 5 weeks they have been flat. Firstly the refusal to cooperate with lockdown by certain people, and now the BLM protests, have causes it to flatten now at roughly 22,000 new cases daily. Active cases are also still rising, and are now at 1.2 million. Who knows what the consequences, if any, will be from Trump's upcoming indoor rallies (with no masks or distancing).

...and Trump has the nerve to tweet that Obama/Biden did a horrible job with swine flu (12,000 deaths in 2 years) and that he's done a great job with corona (120,000 deaths in 3 months).

At the moment that doesn't seem too alarming, but any more and there will be questions asked as to why those people weren't quarantined correctly.
...and now the US has had its highest number of daily cases in 50 days. Democrats will blame Trump, and Republicans will blame protestors. Both parties probably have a case.

Okkkk... What did I just walk into... *reverses out of room* this is just rly wierd i was reading the latest posts and saw "King of corn said: See Matt becomes gay and suddenly there are shitposts everywhere." what, was that about? sup im Crystal Night and gosh is this wierd XD I thought it might b like a bunch of gamers talkin bout games and a lil bit of covid but this... is entirely different. XD
CrystalNight - Welcome to the forums! I'm Australian too
Dan - Victoria is also beginning a second wave. They're getting dozens of new daily cases now. Our main sporting competition is probably going to be shut down again, since 10/18 teams are from Victoria...
9 now... That is a concern. I said from the start that a few more was ok. But 7 more is not. The issue is that essentially New Zealand had the virus extinct, and was about a week away from 100% killing the virus completely. They need to try and trace all the people those who are infected case into contact with.
This is why the idiot eastern states of Australia who were telling Western Australia to open its borders, are idiots. Victoria and New South Wales have 215 active cases. The other 6 states and territories have a COMBINED 6 active cases; with 4 states/territories having 0 active cases. And a few weeks ago eastern states Premiers were bagging WA for keeping its borders closed. Had we budged, we would have dozens of active cases, guaranteed.

bruh queensland me home best place on earth hehe love a sunburnt country land of sweeping planes nah stuff that we dont have any cases rn if im not mistaken ye how r u guys
Yes, that's the thing. The government seemed really disorganised and quite a few of these people have been allowed into public areas/with others not self-isolating.
I'm fine with everything still normal here. Hoping we don't end up back in lockdown because it took me a while to finally decide to go out haha. You seem relaxed about everything, so are you doing OK?
CrystalNight - Only 3 active cases in QLD, so not many. And I like Queensland. I have family there and it's the only place I've ever traveled to outside of WA.
