I think even 10 wins might not be enough. They'd have to be better than three of Cleveland, Pitt, Colts, Dolphins, and Chargers assuming the Ravens, Bills, Chiefs, and Titans win their division. Could certainly happen but nowhere near a guarantee.

Did Matt say if he's gonna set up the Yahoo thing? If not we need to set it up next week,

10-7 seems to be what most believe is the minimum for third and final AFC Wild Card. Could be more, but makes sense. I feel like Titans and Colts will both be around 10-7, Bills seem like 12-5 or 13-4, Dolphins and Pats seem like 10-7 best case for both, Chiefs seem like 14+, Browns and Ravens seem like 11-6 or 12-5, and Chargers seem like to 10-7 best case. That is not taking into consideration the well-coached Steelers and the loaded-but-no-QB Broncos. AFC is stacked, so a good team or even two might no make the cut.

Yes, we need to contact Matt to see about organising the competition, the season starts next week. Has anyone seen Matt? I can appreciate now that he has started work he may not have a lot of time on his hands in which case one of us will have to set it up. I'd volunteer but I have no idea how to go about it, I always relied on Matt.

So the only teams in the NFC that have a chance of winning the Super Bowl are the Bucs, Packers, and 49rs? I wouldn't like to place a bet on anyone else.

Those AFC teams will cancel each other out, they can't all end the season with 10+ wins.

If we haven't heard from Matt by next week, I'm sure one of us Mikes can take care of setting it up on Yahoo.

The NFC is a little more cut and dry: Bucs, Packers, Cowboys/Redskins, Seahawks, Rams, 49ers. I have the Panthers, Falcons, Giants, and Cardinals as dark horses, but that all depends how they come out of the gate.

Yeah, the AFC should beat each other up pretty good. However, through my initial quick run through the whole season simulator, I finished with the Ravens & Browns at 12-5, Titans & Colts at 10-7, Bills at 14-3, Dolphins & Patriots at 10-7, Chiefs at 15-2, Chargers at 10-7, and all NFC West at 10+ Wins. It can clearly happen if everything falls right.

In that case it looks like it's going to be a tough season for the likes of the Jets, Jaguars, and Texans who will be lucky to get 5 wins.

It was definitely difficult to pick any of those three teams, I will tell you that much. I think I finished with three upset wins for the Jets, three wins for the Jags, and one for Texans. I am sure they will each have more than that, but it was tough to give them a win when in each game I thought they would lose. lol

Yeah, it should be no issue setting it up.

Those seem like good predictions, I think the Jags will squeak out a few more than 3 wins though. Admittedly I don't know their schedule though.

I tried telling myself to give everyone at least three wins, but when picking on the go without much thought, it was hard to select them over any other team. I think the Jets and Jags will be more around 5-6 Wins, and the Texans around 3-4.

Yeah that seems more likely. It's just hard to give them wins when you look at each individual game and it seems like they aren't favored in any of them.

Even Jags/Texans games were tough. Jags have talented young guys, but the Texans did sign a lot of free agent veterans.

I see the Texans being a totally demoralised team who will be lucky to go 2-15. They will be looking for a top rookie quarterback next year to replace Watson.

Thinking about it, if they did that and used the 3 number 1's and 2 number 2's they hope to get for Watson they have the making of a good team if they choose who they draft carefully. As for the Jets, I think they may surprise a few teams and get some upset wins and finish 5-12, Zac Wilson has looked pretty good during pre season. Not sure what to make of the Jaguars, Trevor Lawrence hasn't looked like he is as good as advertised, from what I've seen he doesn't look like anything special, there were times during pre season he appears confused and out of his comfort zone.

They will not be getting that for him even after the season. Over twenty civil suits, at least ten formal complaints to the police, and something about the FBI now looking into it.

Seriously, the FBI are investigating Watson? I wonder why they are getting involved, surely the police can handle it. It's not looking good if the FBI are involved, they will look to make an example of Watson, No way is he getting off now. Texans should have grabbed whatever Miami was offering and wiped their hands clean of him.Their greediness means the will end up with nothing.

Some interesting must win games in week 1. Had to laugh at Dallas getting the Bucs, I hope Brady slices them up for 500 yards and 4 Touchdowns.

It has to do with the fact it was with masseuses, right? Probably because of what most people think happens at the more shady ones in the world. I really don't know since, like you said, its more about sexual criminal charges.

Bucs should murder them, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's relatively close since it is Week 1 after all.

NFL Executives ranked all the teams in both the AFC and NFC. Miami and Washington got ranked way low. Miami at #11 in the AFC? Washington at #10 in the NFC? No respect! Both are likely to make the playoffs or just on the cusp. I don't care if Fitz is streaky and Tua is unproven; no way both are three or four teams away from the last playoff spot.

Some experts feel that if Fitzpatrick plays well there is no reason why Washington can't finish 11-6. The defence has improved from last year so they should keep Washington in games and the quarterback now has weapons in all the skill positions.

Antonio Gibson and Chase Young were carrying injuries last year which limited their performances. This year I think Gibson will get over 1,000 yards and Young will get about 15 sacks. Undrafted free agent Jaret Patterson is looking like a steal. The guy can move the sticks in short yardage situations despite his short stature,in fact he reminds me of Joe Morris the Giants running back from the 80s who was also vertically challenged.

What is the current state of the Dolphins? If Tua has improved and with the weapons the Dolphins have brought in I can't see why they can't challenge the Bills. The defence is decent and they've got Xiavian Howard back.

I have no idea why executives are ranking the Redskins and Dolphins so low. Like you said, if Tua and Fitz play their best ball, both teams could easily win upwards of twelve games.

I am back, and have renewed our tipping competition. It also prompted me to send you all invites again, and these should have automatically been emailed to you.

According to the pick dsitribution, I have made 2 upset picks. Don't listen to who it says the favourites are. It seems broken, as it says every home team is the favourite.

Thanks Matt, that's great. I'm really looking forward to this competition.

Although there is no money involved I still in a weird kind of way enjoy the stress following the games on a Sunday night and seeing how everyone else is doing. For me it's all about bragging rights, I just want to win which I have failed miserably to do since we started this yearly competition.

Warrior13, I am now beginning to wonder if Deshaun Watson was working alone or he was part of some kind of prostitution ring where the girls claim they are masseus. It always struck me as Strange these girls would jump on an airplane and travel across several states to give a guy a rub down which he could get anywhere. f you are the masseuse wouldn't it occur to you that this guy is buying your plane ticket and paying for your accommodation while you are out of town that he wants something more than a rub down from an inexperienced masseuse. If the FBI have been called in then something went on that the public is unaware of at the moment.

Matt: Yahoo again?

Dennis: I think that is why the FBI is investigating as well. That would be the only thing that makes sense for their involvement.

Guys, check your spam, my email got sent directly there. I'm in.

Kind of strange for a masseuse to travel several states like that, but they probably figure it's a high profile athlete and can afford that kind of thing. The allure of the money he was surely paying them was probably enough for them to not think of why he couldn't just use a local masseuse.
