We seem to get the NFC East and a mix of the AFC North and East. The misery a few years ago when local games would be Bengals/Browns and Bills/Jets lol
Redzone is definitely a lifesaver. If living around all the Broncos and Cobwoys Fans wasnt bad enough, having to watch the same week in and week out made it a nightmare. lol
We've oddly got an absolute ton of Cowboy fans up here too. I guess cause of the rivalry with Philly. My parents and brother are Cowboys fans and the closest we've been to Dallas is Disney lol. Just a huge fanbase.
Too much money for me to get an NFL subscription, I would first have to get SKY and then pay extra on top. Getting SKY alone is 250 pounds for the year then 30 pounds a month on top. I've got enough with Disney Plus, Prime, and the Fortnight pass my son can't live without. I tend to watch the highlights on YouTube about 30 minutes after the game.
Bucs vs Cowboys could be a shock result. There's always major shocks in week 1.
Ah, that's lame. At least the sports networks seem to be pretty good about getting highlights up quick. The MLB especially is great at condensing 3-4 hour games into a nice 10 minute highlight reel.
I don't know, the number of times I've seen the previous year's Super Bowl winner start the defence of their title looking flat is quite a lot. Dak Prescott will want to prove he is not a waste of money, and being the first game of the season all of America will be watching. It will also be interesting to see how much the Dallas defense has improved,I'm hearing tales that the revamped linebackers team has the potential to be the best in the league.
At the end if the day it's Tom Brady the Cowboys will be facing and I've learnt the hard way over the years not to bet against that dude.
Pretty much my expectation. Bucs team is too experienced and has too much chemistry. Remember, every single starter is coming back.
A rough quote from new Bengals WR Jamarr Chase:
Not a great soundbite from a rookie WR who has really struggled and sat out for a year. Why wasn't he practicing with NFL footballs? This quote will follow him around all year if he doesn't improve, especially when people already thought he was a bad pick and Sewell was sitting there at a position of need. Granted, Sewell hasn't been great either but that's beside the point.
More news, Ravens RB Gus Edwards and CB Marcus Peters both appear to have torn ACLs in practice today. Dobbins also tore his ACL, leaving the Ravens with Tyson Williams and Trenton Cannon as active RBs, with Leveon Bell probably being activated too. Not good for such a run heavy team, and almost enough to sway my pick...
Sounds like a guy who should not be in the NFL. Jeez. When I was a kid, there was a different style football at every recess. It did not stop us from catching day to day. Dude needs to get real or he will be a huge bust. At this point, Miami got lucky by Chase not being on the board and wise to have gone with Waddle over Sewell. Could still change, but he looks the best of the three atm.
Sounds like Chase is making excuses for those dropped balls in the pre-season. I personally think he is talking out of his ****, this is the first time in 40 years following the NFL I have heard of a wide reciever blaming the game ball for his dropped passes. Catching is eye hand coordination regardless of what type of ball is thrown to you.
To me these lame excuses for his poor performances is a huge red flag, Chase should have kept his mouth shut and just spend more time on the practice field sharpening up his pass catching skills and learning routes to put himself in a better position to catch the ball. The guy sounds like an idiot to be honest. Miami must be relieved they got Waddle.
Steelers give a massive contract to TJ Watt. 4yr/112million. Wow.
Ravens lose their 3rd string RB to ACL, that makes all three of their RB now to the same season ending injury. CB Marcus Peters also seems to have tore his ACL. Ravens might be this years 49ers.
Huge contract for Watt, but they pretty much had to pay him. The guy's a top 3 defensive player, and this is the perfect time to give him a new deal. Ideally they'll have a QB on a rookie deal the next 4-5 years. I'm not too worked up about it. Now just need to get Minkah Fitzpatrick's deal done.
Well, that was a close one. Far too many mistakes by the Bucs, easily could have been a blow out if they had been on their games. Too many turnovers, refusal to adjust their defense, and almost a fatal undoing by poor clock management. If not for Brady, they would have lost for sure. Gotta step it up with that target on their backs.
I hate to say it but the Cowboys looked good, Washington will have to go some to repeat as NFC East champions. Prescot and his recievers look dangerous. Bucs were fortunate to win that game, they made plenty if mistakes. The key to this game was how good the Bucs offensive line was at protecting Brady and giving him time.
The Cowboys did okay. I have no idea why the Bucs did not make adjustments at the half. They literally let Dak kill them all night with short, quick passes. It was almost like they knew they would win anyway, so why bother doing anything different. You cannot do that against better teams.
Never good to give up 30+ as a defense, but the Cowboys kept themselves in it. Can they keep it up though now that they will be in less hyped games?
Nice to see that Ja'Marr Chase is a whinger. I was disappointed that we missed out on him at the time, but looks like we chose the better human.
No surprise to see Brady help Tampa Bay scrape through. Their defense is an issue though. I still don't rate them as highly as the media seem to be. Last season they finished with an 11-5 record (lost roughly a third of their regular season games) and didn't even win their division. They will win it this year because of Brees retiring, but they have to improve if they want to go back to back.
~ Sometimes people change, but sometimes you just open your eyes & realise who they truly are ~
