Yup, plus nobody even wants to watch regular season games, the teams are basically just coasting till the playoffs

Sidenote - I've got an interview for a service desk tech job in about an hour. Wish me luck boys.

Thanks! I think the interview went really well, the lady was really nice and seemed impressed. And it seems like a good company to work for. Hopefully I hear something by the end of the week.

Thanks. Seems like a good gig. 5 weeks of paid time off per year which is pretty generous. Last time I was an employee and not a contractor I only got 5 days my first year and 10 the second, plus some holidays. Downside of this one is that I would need to work on holidays "casually" since it's a company that provides long term care and those facilities never close. 8:30-5:30 shift with an hour lunch and 15 minute break, I would prefer 9 to 5 with a shorter lunch but nothing to complain about. I wasn't too impressed with what she told me of the health benefits but it is what it is. Didn't give me a salary number but asked what my demands were and didn't seem surprised by what I asked. All in all doesn't seem like a bad place to launch a career from. And one of the better interviews I've ever had, you can tell when someone likes their work and is happy at their company.

I hope the lady gives you a call at the end of the week steerlersrock01 and offers you the job. Sounds promising though, you normally get a feeling when an interview has gone well and there is a good possibility you will get the job.

Definitely a good feeling.

In football news, there's all kinds of rumors around Deebo Samuel right now. Some are saying he's holding out to get paid the largest WR contract, others saying he wants to be traded. I like Deebo as a player but have a feeling he's going to either get a massive contract from SF or get traded and get a massive deal and he's never going to match his 2021 production.

I'm with you on Deebo Samuel steelersrock01. There's talk of Washington trading Curtis Samuel and a pick for him which I'm not exactly ecstatic about.

Deebo Samuel has demanded a trade so it will be interesting to see where he ends up, the favourites at the moment are the New York Jets who need to give Zack Wilson some decent weapons.

He definitely a great play, I'm just always wary of guys like him because it seems like they always have 1 monster year but the rest of their career will just be as a jack of all trades but not particularly good at anything. Sort of like Cordarelle Patterson who kinda had a renaissance this year in Atlanta (he's also a good kick returned). Deebo is really just a good receiver that can also run a bit, but it seems like he wants to get paid like a receiver and a #1 RB.

As Dennis said, Deebl has officially asked for a trade. Per other reports, he wants to be the highest paid non-QB in the league.

Absolutely ridiculous. One good year after two injured seasons does not means you deserve as much as Adams and Hill. Take a look in the mirror, dude.

The Jets can have him. XD XD XD

Sounds like there is going to be a monster trade coming up. Kyler Murrey is on the move and the Dallas Cowboys are favorites to get him. How are they going to pull this off? They have just invested heavily in Dak Prescott and where does Prescott go? Is the trade going to be Prescott and several players? I can't see how this is going to work. What do the bookies know, they all have Dallas as the favorites to pick him up.

I doubt Murray will be traded.

That said, Cowboys do not make much sense. Maybe last years roster with Murray, but not their current state of affairs. They have too many holes.

If I were the Texans, I would try to trade for him. He is from Texas, and they have the draft capital to execute such an exchange while also possessing the means to pay the guy what he wants. Plus, if they could pull it off, which would include the #3 and #13 Picks at a bare minimum, the Cardinals could then trade a 2nd or 3rd for Baker. The NFC is weak, and Baker is not a huge drop off, passing wise, from Murray. The Cardinals could then use their picks?including #3, #13, #23?to fill three of their four holes at DE, WR, CB, and OL.

Not even considering future aspects they would obtain, the Cardinals could walk away with Baker, Sauce Gardner (#3), Garrett Wilson (#13), and George Karlaftis (#23) from trading Murray to the Texans. That would be crazy enough, but they would also likely obtain future 1sts as well.

Am I the only one that thinks Kyler Murray is maybe not worth a crazy haul? Especially if he is immediately demanding a monster contract. Let's just look at his 2020 and 2021 and forget 2019 since he was a rookie. The Cardinals have a pretty good roster. In 2020 they started out 5-2. After their bye week they went 3-6, finishing 8-8. In 2021, same thing. Started 7-0, went into the bye at 9-2, finished 11-6, and Murray was pretty bad at the end of the season and awful in the wild card game. He's undersized and mobile, a recipe for injuries, and hasn't shown he can make it through a full NFL season strongly, especially now that we're at 17 games and will probably move to 18 soon. He's on record saying he doesn't watch film. I'm not sure if their poor second half performances are a result of the coach or of Murray not being prepared or both, but is he really worth a ton of capital right now? When he's acting like he wants the last 2 years of his rookie contract waived and immediately wants a new massive deal?

I think Murray is already a top 15, borderline top 10 QB but I don't think he's doing himself any favors and I don't think his game is going to age very gracefully.

I hear you. Like I said, I would give up #3 and #13 for him if I were the Texans, perhaps even an additional 1st. But that is about it.

Now, I am hearing crazy demands for Deebo, which is absolutely crazy. If anyone gives up more than a 1st for him, highest #10 from the Jets, I would find that incredibly foolish.

What you say Warrior13 makes sense to me regarding Kyler Murray. It would make the Texans forget about the loss of Watson. In my book Watson and Murray are about the same, everyone raves about Watson, but I can't recall him doing anything spectacular in the playoffs to warrant his 'elite' standing everyone has given him.

I agree with steelersrock assessment of Kyler Murrey being in the 10-15 region, if the guy was a bit more mature he could easily make the 6-10 range. Last year when the Cardinals had their little run at the start of the season everyone was saying Arizona looked like Super Bowl contenders. If Murray can hit that form again his stock will rise.

I'm also with Warrior13 regarding Deebo, I'd be a bit weary of paying a player who has only had one good season a ton of money. Look what happened to Elliot with the Cowboys, as soon as he got his money he regressed badly. All of a sudden he was reluctant to put his head down and get the extra yard.

Yeah, I would definitely be wary of Deebo. One big year and then 30 million? I would not be a taker. Shoot, if Jets do so and give up a lot of picks, I would be even happier with the Hill trade.

Especially such a high usage player like Deebo. Being a receiver and a big part of the running game is so much wear and tear.

I guess you have hit the nail on the head steelersrock01, Deebo knows that his body can only take that kind of pounding that would be required of him in the NFL for a couple of years before injuries slow him down and make him expendable. Guess he wants to cash in now while he is still healthy, I can't blame the guy to be honest.

Yeah, I've said before I never really blame a guy for getting whatever money he can. It's just frustrating when it's your team and you know the guy just isn't worth it.

It also does not help when you see a guy like Brady take less and less year after year to better his team. Personally, I do not get it. Like seriously, how many MILLIONS is enough?
