Redskins got Johnathan Allen DT Alabama with their #17 pick. Allen was considered a Top 5 talent, but slipped a little due to arthritic shoulders. Incredible value for the Skins though, especially without having to trade at all.
Three teams traded up to draft QBs last night, all overdrafted in the Top 12. (Chicago-Tribusky, Chiefs-Mahomes, Texans-Watson). Bears were idiotic and gave up two third round picks and one fourth round pick to move up one slot, which they didn't need to. Chiefs and Texans both gave up two first round picks to just over ten slots each.
Dolphins drafted Charles Harris DE Missouri at #22. He will obviously be the heir apparent to Cameron Wake, hopefully being a great pass rushing specialist for the next decade for us. Hopefully.
Browns and 49ers had the best drafts last night. Browns didn't get their QB again, but added the likes of DE Myles Garrett, S/CB/KR Jabril Peppers, and TE David Njako. They were great picks, especially since they didn't overreach for a QB (since next years draft is loaded). 49ers, as mentioned, robbed the Bears and still got their player, DE/DT Solomon Thomas, at #3. They also used that fourth round pick from Chicago to jump back in the end of the first tound to get LB Ruben Foster out of Alabama. Foster was a Top 10 talent that slid due to some injury concerns, but dude could be the next Ray Lewis with his talent level.
