Rookie Myles Garrett of the Browns is a beast, have you seen his numbers? 4.64 second 40-yard dash, 33 reps on the bench press, a 41-inch vertical and 128-inch broad jump. He put up those skill-player like numbers at 6-4, 272 pounds.

Sanzano said:I know it's only pre season but I'm wondering if the Cleveland Browns are close to turning the corner, they beat the NY Giants. Cleveland haven't had a sniff at the Super Since the days of Bernie Kozar in the early 90's. All those high draft picks over the years must be turning the team around, I think they are still weak at Quarterback though so they'll be looking out for one of those touted college players in next years draft to strengthen the position.

Cleveland is far from up-and-coming; they will again be one of the worst teams this season. Unless, of course, you consider a 2-14 or 3-13 year from them turning the corner. Sure, they appear to have a few positions filled with what look like young studs, but they have had this a number of times over the last decade of their mediocrity. They never draft well; they get players that look good to the naked eye, but ones that turn out to be busts. Garrett should be different, but the jury is still out on their others. Also doesn't help to not have a real franchise QB.

They're another team that has their eye on Kirk Cousins if things don't work out in Washington and his proposed move to San Francisco. Washington seem to have a long history with players coming to and from Cleveland for some reason.

It's been a while, but My Week 1 Predictions are: (This Season: 10-5) (Last Season: 157-108-2)

New England 27-13 over Kansas City
Pittsburgh 26-10 over Cleveland
Detroit 28-27 over Arizona

Houston 27-13 over Jacksonville
Oakland 35-31 over Tennessee
Philadelphia 20-16 over Washington
Baltimore 20-17 over Cincinnati in overtime
Atlanta 28-15 over Chicago
Buffalo 27-23 over New York Jets
Los Angeles Rams 27-20 over Indianapolis

Seattle 29-27 over Green Bay
Carolina 31-20 over San Francisco
Dallas 20-17 over New York Giants
New Orleans 34-17 over Minnesota
Los Angeles Chargers 26-20 over Denver in overtime

Going bold with LA Rams, Seattle, & Dallas to win here. Indy are outta luck I'm afraid...

Not sure about Philadelphia beating Washington if Cousins is in form and wants to prove a point, I think Dallas will struggle without their starting running back. I think Green Bay with an in form Aaron Rogers will disect the Seattle defense in a close win but apart from that I agree with you. It will be interesting to see how Atlanta come out of the blocks after losing the Super Bowl the way they did.

Elliot will play in week 1 despite having a 6-week ban. For some logical reason it comes into effect week 2.

Tampa Bay and Miami are officially out of the playoff race. They have to play a minimum of 16 games in a row because their match has been moved to their bye week. Miami were already shot and now have been put in the coffin, and Tampa Bay's chances are minuscule now. Yes some teams get into playoffs when they have a bye after the first few weeks, but that would leave around 12 consecutive games, not 16. The simple, fair option would've been to move the game elsewhere and play it on Tuesday night, while giving Miami fans a large proportion of seats.

Yes it is important for the players to be with their families, but Tuesday night is a fair way away.

Gotta love the NFL!

At least we'll have a possible franchise QB in 10 months!

Pretty accurate. I have that score, plus another field goal to NE.

If Miami are in a position to draft Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen or Josh Allen in the 2018 draft that's their Quarterback problem solved right there, they could be knocking on the Super Bowl door by 2020.

Thursday's Result:

Kansas City defeated New England 42-27 after trailing 21-27 at 3QT

Unbelievable! Rookie Kareem Hunt ran for 148 yards, 1TD and a fumble while Alex Smith passed for 4TDs and 368 yards, with no intercepts. Brady passed at 44% and did not score.

So glad Patriot fans can now shut up about 16-0 talk. Yes they will definitely respond and still easily win the division but I love seeing them lose!

At least there's some good news in sports. My AFL team got destroyed in a final (playoff) yesterday.

Sunday's Results:

Pittsburgh defeated Cleveland 21-18
Detroit defeated Arizona 35-23 after trailing 0-10 at QT and 9-17 in Q3
Jacksonville defeated Houston 29-7
Oakland defeated Tennessee 26-16
Philadelphia defeated Washington 30-17
Baltimore shutout Cincinnati 20-0
Atlanta defeated Chicago 23-17
Buffalo defeated New York Jets 21-12
Los Angeles Rams defeated Indianapolis 46-9
Green Bay defeated Seattle 17-9 after trailing 0-3 at QT
Carolina defeated San Francisco 23-3
Dallas defeated New York Giants 19-3

Fairly expected results apart from some. Jacksonville thrashing Houston?! Cincinnati not scoring (and Andy Dalton turning the ball over 4 times!). LA Rams destroying Indy. NY Giants not functioning. Went 10-2 in tips to bring me to a 10-3 start.

If you are trailing Detroit at 3QT you are finished.

I'm 7-6 so far this week, looks like a slow start for me. I think just everyone lost the KC & Jacksonville Games. lol Lost Seattle & Arizona too, both were tough losses. My upset pick was Cincy, and I couldn't believe they got thrashed as bad as they did. I also lost with the NYG.

I'm hoping the Vikes & Broncos will savage this mediocre week for me, but, honestly, I'm already looking on towards the next.

I'm afraid it was Minnesota & Denver. Even so it wasn't a bad week of predictions.
Washington are not going anywhere this season with the crop of recievers they have, you just can't drop balls at this level. Cousins stats this year are going to look average. As for Cincinnatti, same old bungles. Not sure what has happened to the New England defense, they've dropped 70 points in the last two games, Bill Belichick won't be happy. New York Giants didn't have Odell Beckham Jr. playing against Dallas and the Giants played woeful without their talisman. Green Bay got past Seattle in a defensive struggle, the Packers have to be thankful the game was played at Lambeau Field otherwise they might not have got the win. Not sure what happened between Jacksonville and Houston, two teams I have zero interest in. I expected Jacksonville to win comfortably though.

Miami and Tampa Bay might as forget this season, same thing has happened to them as what happened to New Oleans in 2005 when Hurrican Katrina caused chaos. The team had to be relocated and as expected it disrupted their preparation for games and they never performed finishing the season 3-13.

The only game that jumps out at me in Week 2 is the Green Bay versus Atlanta game, whoever wins that one is going to be a contender for the Super Bowl, I have a feeling it is Green Bay. I think Aaron Rogers is going to have a good year unlike last year where he did nothing until the end.

Really surprised Minnesota won. I expected a blowout New Orleans win. Sam Bradford was huge, passing at 27/32 for 346yrds, 3TDs & no intercepts. Even though his stats have been blown out due to New Orleans having an awful defense, it's still a good game. They'll need him to repeat those types of games for Minnesota to do anything this season. New Orleans, on the other hand, look destined for another mediocre to reasonable season. Adrian Peterson rushed for 18 yards.

10-5 isn't too crash hot anymore with tips but I guess for week 1 where things are unpredictable it's ok. I'll be hoping to beat you this season Warrior ;)
