More than one save file? If its true it'll be weird! Oh well, I'll just get them the conventional way (plus you have the advantades of raising all the starters at once).
For you and you friend to get all three. You start with one, your friend must start the game five time, the first four with two of each of the starters you didn't choose and he trades them all to you. The fifth time he/she/it starts with the one you chose and you swap them, then trade one of each of the other two onto his/her/its game. then you each have all three with boosted growth. Note that you must catch five other pokmon (make sure they are the usual rubbish pokmon that you find on the first Route of the game).

Sorry to say this, but you wont lose two turns for missing a move that has recharge on the next turn, unless the battle style really changed for diamond and pearl, cuz I know I tried a hyper beam and missed at my friend before, and nothing happend, I was able to use it again, but I know wut ya mean that its probly best to save it as a finishing move, but also, NintendoDude, I like your kind of thinking, you seem like a battle specialist when it comes to pokemon, Im one as well, but lol I don't show it as much, the only time you will see my awesome brains when it comes to pokemon will be in a pokemon battle, so me and you deffinitly gotta trade friend codes when the games come out, if ya dont mind, cuz its not every day that you meet a pokemon trainer who is good at pokemon, I mean, the last time I battled someone other than my friend (my friend thinks just like me when it comes to pokemon), that unknown person I battled had a level 100 caterpie/psyduck, theres nothing wrong with those kinds of pokemon but, when you battle me, those pokemon can get wiped off the ground in mere seconds, no offence, its okay to like a pokemon and choose to battle with it, no matter how weak it may seem, but when you battle strong trainers, be prepared to see them get blown away, this is my lil heads up.
The pokemon I really have huge plans for as of this moment is Raquaza, yes I know Dragon/flying pokemon have a x4 weakness to ice and a x2 weakness to Dragon, Eclectric, and w/e may be the case, but I came up with an awesome movepool for em', when I EV train him to the max of HP and SP Attack/SP defence, then he will be my SP Attacker only pokemon, cuz his Max SP attack and SP defence is really good, so I came up with awesome moves for him when Diamond and Pearl come out, cus the moves I want so far, are mainly diamond moves.
((Okay...I just typed so much I think...lol...Im done :D))
Hyper Beam doesn't lose a second turn. but on my very first game in Leaf Green I taught Frenzy Plant to my Venusaur (a stupid magaizine said Bulbasaur was the best starter, when Charmander is really the best. Squirtle still sucks) and when it missed I still had to recharge. It probably applies to Blast Burn (and Hydro Cannon) too.
Lol, I see what you mean. I don't just go and throw a Pok Ball at any old pokmon and train it to level 100. I check out that pokmon's stats, movepool, type/s and such. No point having a team of level 100 Mightyenas is it? Anyway, you seem to be pretty confident in yourself. Once I build up my team I'll be happy to give you a challenge. Be warned mind, battling me won't be a walk in the park. Just try to keep ubers and legendaries to a minimum as I prefer not to use them myself. I don't mind if you use Rayquaza though. Just don't make a superpower team like Rayquaza, Groudon, Mewtwo etc. You get the picture.
Actually, Electricity is neutral on Rayquaza, his other 2x weakness is Rock. His Attack stat surpasses his SPecial Attack stat, just to give you the heads up. Of course, I'm not telling you how to make your team.

Why don't we all face each other on NetBattle, if Chaos dropped by the Team Rating Forum, he'd know how much I know, I know a lot more then people think(possibly as much, or more then Simple Theory). I just don't use much, I just hand out reccomended sets, natures and other things.
On Topic: My chart would be:
Goukazaru Enepurto Dotatios
I'm sure N_D would do Dotatios first, then Goukazaru, then lastly Enepurto.
I get the picture wit the legendaries thing, and for now on topic, I like Goukazaru and Dodaitose which kinda makes things hard for me when I get the game, but the movepool I have for Goukazaru is better than the movepool I came up with Dadaitose... its either gonna be Gouka., or Dodai. when the game comes out. (that I might pick their starter)
Espeondude_: Don't take this the wrong way, but Netbattle-wise I doubt anyone who comes here will be better than Simple Theory. But yes, you got my chart right. Even though I'm not too excited about another Fire-Fight type (Swampert and Sceptile were both better than Blaziken to a SMALL degree) Goukazaru looks like it should spice things up because it's quite a bit faster than Blaziken. Dotaitos looks like an absolute monter with a killer movepool and moveset. Enperuto is spoilt by its bad movepool and stats combinations. They don't go well together. But it still should be good. And I no longer have Netbattle.
Chaos: If you're not getting both games, you should hope that my friend was right and that there are going to be more than one save file per game. Of course, the rumors my friend hears are usually wrong.

((I just got a DS lite protector case (play thru) with the grips on it, and it makes my gaming extra super fun :D so Im ready for pokemon diamond, endless hours of play till' I die of no sleep, ahahaha lol))
I'm so ready to beat up some of the moderator's for these forums on WIFI battle....lol...I wanna see if they can moderate from getting their pokemon knocked out all the time.
I do agree that Goukazaru is good, but to me, it looks like a clown, no offense. Enperuto is my favorite, although I'm extremely mad at its types. I mean seriously, it's a penguin! Shouldn't be Water/Ice instead of Water/Steel? Well I guess that's good because the Grass and Lightning moves won't be super-effective. Enperuto can also learn one grass attack, which is named Grass Rope. It works will if the foe is heavy. Enperuto can learn Flying attacks which can knock out Goukazaru and Dotaitos. So my final conclusion, the best starter pokemon that I think is Pochama because of it's final evolution.
I would go for either Dotaitos or Goukazaru. I would go with Dotaitos first because we haven't seen any Grass/Ground types yet. We've seen a Fire/Fight starter in the past.
yea i go with enperto because i mean come on who doesnt love a penguin. also i am the biggest fan of water types(squirtle rules)until croconaw and mudkip spoiled it. i hate both of them. but i go pochama all the way then the grass guy then the fire monkey.
