Chubb and Miller is a nightmare for a rookie, if he performs good against those two he justifies his first round status.

AFC West has to be one of the toughest divisions, not sure what teams are going to make it to the playoffs from there. Kansas is almost a certainty but the Chargers and Broncos if they get hold of Aaron Rogers have a shot at the playoffs as wildcards. Even the Raiders have a shot if they win the Aaron Rogers sweepstakes and he ends up in Las Vegas.

Not sure the Dolphins are good enough to make the playoffs if they don't win their division. AFC is loaded with decent teams.

The 49rs have given Trey Lance a golden helmet and say he could start he has impressed that much in training. Is this hype or have San Francisco found the guy that can take them to the big game.

The AFC West is interesting because as you say the Chiefs are basically guaranteed to make the playoffs but I think if things go right all 4 teams have a legit shot at the playoffs.

As for Lance it's probably a bit of both. They aren't gonna trade up to draft him and then say he sucks.

I only have the Chiefs making the playoffs from the AFC West. lol

At this point, you have to assume Chiefs and Bills make the playoffs. That leaves five spots in the AFC, and I would have to think the Colts, Titans, Ravens, Steelers, and Browns all have the edge at this point. The Dolphins, Patriots, and Chargers are the tier after that looking in from the outside. Obviously all of that would change if Rodgers is traded to the Broncos, but at this point, it appears he will be back with the Packers. He doesn't want to retire, and now all his teammates and buddies are saying the fractured relationship is fixable.

Aaron Rogers is a joke, the guy's just a mercenary. If the Packers make him the highest paid player in the NFL his ego will be satisfied and he will begin the season as if nothing happened. I just get the feeling he couldn't care less about winning another Super Bowl, money is more important to him. He is the opposite of Tom Brady as far as being a team player is concerned.

And that's why he probably will never win another championship. At this point, there are two formulas to winning Super Bowls: 1) QB on Rookie Contract & 2) Veteran QB on discounted pay. That's it. Mahomes would be the exception if he wins another one in the next year or so, but most of his contract is tied into signing bonus and has allowed them to capitalized on talent around him.

Hard to call the guy a mercenary when he's never played on another team. I bet if you could get the honest truth out of players a good 90% of them don't care about winning as long as they get paid. Especially fringe guys and players making the minimum.

That is what makes Brady so great. Winning should be top priority.

True, but you can also make the argument that Brady is married to a woman with a higher net worth than him and plays the highest paid position. It's easy to be all about winning when money doesn't matter for the next 5 generations of your family. If you're the #2 TE on the Bills (theoretically) and get an offer to be the #1 TE with a 3x increase in pay to play for Houston, you're probably not gonna stay in Buffalo even though they have a better shot at winning.

Never played on another team but is quite happy to hold the team to ransom, so his demands are met. In my book that makes him a mercenary. I just don't like the guy, his whole demeanor in interviews rubs me up the wrong way. The guy just oozes arrogance.

He's definitely all about himself. Not a good quality to have on a team sport.

I'm beginning to wonder if that is why he dropped on his draft year. He was projected to go number 1 with Alex Smith but Mike Nolan the head coach of the 49rs at the time who had the first pick evaluated Rodgers and said he did not believe Rogers attitude could co-exist with him. Rogers then plummeted until the Packers picked him up. His first words to Brett Favre when he met him was 'hi grandpa'. That immediately rubbed Favre up the wrong way who then took an instant dislike to him. The guy's arrogant and selfish, he will never win another Super Bowl.

He fell on draft night (Which was actually during the day way back when... Remember that? So horrible... lol) because QBs used to be taught to keep the ball up by their shoulders instead of their chests before throwing. I have no idea how that ever developed because it was the stupidest thing I ever heard, retrospectively speaking, but a number in the NFL didn't know if that could be rectified with Rodgers. Obviously the Packers cleaned it up nicely as he has become one of the best ever throwers ever.

No offense, but Rodgers shouldn't have even won the Super Bowl he did. The Steelers seriously dropped the ball in that Super Bowl; they easily should've won it.

The Steelers have played pretty bad in all 3 of their modern Super Bowl appearances. They only beat the Cardinals because of two "lucky" plays - Harrison's 100 yard return and Holmes's miracle TD catch. They lose against the Seahwaks if Randle El doesn't throw a TD and there isn't some questionable officiating.

Big Ben on the whole is pretty mediocre in the playoffs and aggressively below average in Super Bowls.

I actually have picked against the Steelers in all three of their modern Super Bowl. I was younger for the first two so I was just going with who I wanted, but I went with the Packers because I thought they would grease it. Which they did. lol

Same here, pretty much. Ben played like absolute crap and then Rodgers was amazing in the Packers game. They just got lucky in the two wins, and I feel like the Seahawks and Cards really just weren't very good.

Yeah, if Ben was just mediocre against the Packers, he would be 3-0.

When I look at the Steelers teams of the last four decades they pale in comparison to the team of he 70's. I don't think we will ever see a team as stacked as that again. If they had of selected Dan Marino in 1983 I personally think their dominance would have continued. Marino was more than good enough to win 2-3 Super Bowls with a decent team around him. If Ben Roethlisberger had of been in form the Steelers could be looking at 10 Super Bowls. To me the Steelers not taking Marino is the biggest mistake in draft history. It's crazy, Marino was a local boy, he came from Pittsburgh.

I think basically every team that passed on Marino minus Broncos (Elway) and Bills (Kelly) could say the same. lol

I wasn't around for the 70s Steelers teams of course but it seems like half the starters are in the hall of fame now. Absolutely stacked teams.

Their defense was incredible. It was what carried them to all of those Super Bowls. Bradshaw was good, but today would be classified as a Game Manager. Imagine how many they would've won with a better QB.
