Honestly, the only Super Bowl the Pats should have lost was against the Falcons. Funny how they somehow won that one and not the Giants and Eagles ones.

Strangely enough none of the Brady Super Bowl wins were blowouts lots of Patriot Super Bowl wins were surprisingly close. Something strange happened in the Falcon win, and also the loss to Philadelphia.

Nick Foles just had some insane magic guiding his arm that whole playoff run.

And they completed that WR to QB pass, something the Pats actually ran earlier in the game and did not complete.

Great games though. Any time the Patriots dynasty loses a Super Bowl, that to me is a classic game.

For sure. All 3 of the Brady SB losses were great games.

Basically all the Pats Super Bowls, win or lose, were good games. As Dennis said, almost all of them were one score affairs.

Looks like Miami are having problems before the season starts. Tua threw five interceptions yesterday and has looked downright dreadful in training camp in general. And Xavier Howard, the Dolphins lockdown corner is holding out for more money.

I'm pretty sure there's more than one gay NFL player currently playing in the league. I bet there are at least three or four in each NFL team. Only a matter of time before a high profile NFL superstar comes out.

Currently the title goes to Jerry Smith, the Washington Redskins tight end of the 60's who had 60 career Touchdown passes, a record that stood for 26 years.

I heard Tua has been electric since that horrible first day of Training Camp. The coaches are pushing him to be more aggressive.

I am sure there are a few, but I doubt their will be many more to express it. Most athletes simply are not going to do that. As a whole, I do not understand why people are so vocal about their sexuality. Maybe I just grew up at a time where that among other things was supposed to be private. Then again, the sociopath in me does not care about others to the point where I do not want to know that stuff about them.

Yeah. I really don't care. I don't think athletes should have to hide it and they should be able to be themselves. But I really couldn't care less about these guy's personal lives as long as it doesn't affect the on-field stuff.

I make you both right. Winning Super Bowls is the name of the game.

Mike: I personally do not find keeping your private life private as hiding, but I agree with you.

Dennis: That is all that should matter. The money will come the more you win.

True. Maybe I didn't really mean hiding. More like I don't think their sexuality should have to be a source of stress for them in their work environment, and it's up to them whether or not coming out is a big deal. Sports is kinda unique because the players are both hypermasculine and also tend to be quite religious so I see how gay players can be uncomfortable. The WNBA seems to have figured it out but that's a different dynamic.

What players are you guys expecting to have a breakout year?

Antonio Gibson is fully recovered from the toe injury he had last year and with the additional weapons Washington have added to their team I'm expecting him to establish himself as an elite running back.

I also expect Josh Allen and Justin Hebert to cement their status as elite quarterbacks and Chase Young to be the undisputed best defensive lineman in the league now he has recovered from a hip injury that slowed him down last year.

I'm picking the chiefs to rip up the league and Mahomes to erase any talk of Tom Brady being the better quarterback currently playing. I take the Washington football team to defeat the Chiefs when they meet during the season. The front four continually get to Mahomes and disrupt their offense. Tua gets labelled a bust early in the season as Heberts status rises and Ben Rothesburger is replaced late in the season by Dwayne Haskins who surpringly shines leading the Pittsburgh offense.

Stafford and Darnold have success with the Rams and Panthers while Wentz is a bust with the Colts. Cowboys fans get on Prescotts back when they realize they have paid a lot of money for a quarterback that isn't that good. Baker Mayfield's job comes under fire in Cleveland when the team looks lacklustre despite being loaded with talent.

Lot of bold claims in there. I think Josh Allen might've peaked, but Herbert should improve and cement himself as the franchise guy. Chase Young will be elite.

Tua should improve and be the longterm starter. I think Darnold will play well enough in Carolina that he'll remain the starter for the whole year but not much else. Wentz will struggle but will be better than he was in Philly last year. Roethlisberger will finish out the season unless he gets hurt.

In terms of breakout players, I think Diontae Johnson on the Steelers should have a great season. He showed flashes last year but had a bad problem with drops. Devin Bush should bounce back from injury and prove himself a good middle linebacker. Tee Higgins on the Bengals should be able to slot in next to Tyler Boyd and Jamarr Chase and have a great season.

RB Deandre Swift should get a ton of carries for the Lions, and new offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn likes using RBs in the passing game.

I just can't take the Lions seriously, that place is a burial ground for elite level talent coming out of college. Jeff Okuda being the latest example. In college he was being compared to Dion Sanders and in the Pro's he was dreadful and not worth the high draft pick the Lions used in the first round. Swift will drift into obscurity there where as if he had of gone to Pittsburgh it's a different story.

Yeah, I am hoping Tua makes the leap this year. If he does not, he is as good as gone.

Definately, the general consensus of opinion at the moment is he was only good at Alabama because he had four wide recievers who are going to be elite at the NFL level to throw to. It must be annoying for Dolphins fans as they went all out by not trying initially to land the guy. The NFL even accused them if tanking for Tua.

Tua and Daniel Jones definitely have to prove it this year. If they do not, I would have to think the Phins and Giants move on.

It's looking that way. Do you think either would make it into another NFL team as a starter or is being a backup somewhere the most they can hope for. I think Darnold was lucky now I look at it wheras Rosen was unlucky.
