Sure, I think Washington will win the division but if the Cowboys are bad or just average it won't be Dak's or the offense's fault.

Cowboys really invested in their defense this offseason. If those younger guys pull their weight, it could be a huge turnaround for them. Will it be as good as the Redskins Defense? Doubt it. But it won't have to be with an offense like the Cowboys have when healthy. Chiefs have proven that you can beat basically everyone if you have superior offense and enough defense.

I have Cowboys right now by one game or even tiebreakers. But that could change if Dak's shoulder is worst off then what the Cowboys are letting on.

The Cowboys entire season hinges on that shoulder. Not gonna be great for them at all if they have Garrett Gilbert starting.

Garrett Gilbert... Never heard of him, how many NFL passes has he thrown. I will lay odds he is the lowest paid quarterback in the league thanks to Dak Prescott. Probably the same reason why the Cowboys let Andy Dalton go. Cowboys season is over if Prescott goes down. At least Washington have got Taylor Hieneke who some people are saying should be starting.

He's thrown 44 passes lol, he started one game last year and wasn't terrible but they lost. Dak's contract isn't affecting him, he's on a minimum deal as he should be.

At least he's thrown 44 passes, if Gilbert goes down the Cowboys will turn to Cooper Rush whose NFL experience makes Gilbert look like a seasoned professional. It's safe to say Dallas are all in on Prescott who is injured and may not start the season. Dallas could find themselves 0-3 at the start of the season if they have to rely on Gilbert and Rush.

Cooper Rush is actually on the practice squad I think. Third string is Ben DiNucci who is awful. But pretty much every third string QB in the NFL is bad.

The Cowboys have no answer as backup QB. But that is what happens when you have to devote forty million to one in the position group.

The Cowboys backup QBs are so horrible that one analyst said they should sign the one Steelers backup QB that gets cut at the end of the month. lol

Lol, that is bad, the Cowboys were foolish to put all their eggs in one basket. If Prescott gets injured, their season is over. Every team should have at least one backup on the roster who is a capable game manager if the starter goes down.

Steelers backup quarterbacks Mason Rudolph, Dwayne Haskins, and Josh Dobbs all played awful in Thursday night's game against the Cowboys. If none of the Cowboys backups are better than those players, the Cowboys are in serious trouble.

Talking about the Steelers I see that they have added three more inductees into Canton. The NFL Hall of Fame is going to have to put aside a wing just for the Pittsburgh Steeler at this rate. You can probably make up a whole squad now on the players they have in Canton. Latest additions are Donnie Shell, Bill Cower, and Troy Polamalu. I must admit though, they are worthy additions.

Yeah, I was really glad to see Polamalu get it. The guys getting into the HoF these past couple years are really the first group of players I was able to see most/all of their careers.

I agree Mike, but I also think that will be a problem soon enough. Too many modern players getting in lately. They really need to think about expanding to 5 players before 1990 and 5 after 1990. If less for either group, the other one can use up the rest.

They need to either have more slots or be a bit more selective. There is already a huge logjam at WR.

More slots imo. They are not going to change their ways now.

More special team guys also need in.

Warrior13 is correct, more special team's players need to get in. They need more recognition for their contribution towards the team. A lot of those kickers for example have decided the fate of the whole team on their last second kicks. There are currently only two pure kickers in Canton. Mark Mosley should be there, he is the only kicker in history to win NFL MVP and the reason why Washington won the Super Bowl in 1982.

Steelersrock01, you must be older than me if you remember Donnie Shell playing as he was one of the players I remember on the the Steelers squad when I first started following the game in 1982, and I'm 52. I think Donnie Shell retired around 1987.

Looks like Xiaven Howard is going to remain a Dolphin.

Miami made this year fully guaranteed for him, but that just puts off the issue until the offseason. I bet he will be traded leading up to the draft as Miami is not going to give him another huge contract. I predict a mid to late first for Howard at that time.

Wait till you hit 50 and it suddenly dawns on you you're 50 and the next milestone is 60. I remember being 26 as if it were yesterday. The Dallas Cowboys with the triplets Aikmen, Irvin, and Smith ruled the football world. Sanders was about to Join them from Atlanta and they would go on to win another Super Bowl.

Any idea why your school days drag and seem to last forever but as soon as you get into the real world time flies.
